I guess I'm confused by "the lowest total Initiative Bid" and "(total points cost of all lists)" as they are somewhat contradictory!

And lowest total Initiative Bid suggests that the higher your total cost, the better (for being Captain A, anyway.)

On second thought, I think you might be correct. That makes an awful lot of sense.

Ginkapo has the right of it. I intended for "lowest" to refer to the total of all points being taken, so a 387 bid would be the "lowest" compared to a 400 point bid. But bids can go both ways - you could consider a the 387 a 13 point bid, verses a 0 point bid. By this reading, the 0 bid would be lower.

I would like to play. Can my silly lists win me a place on a team?

Can I sign up as an alternate? My schedule is somewhat limited (has to start after 2100 PST) and I don't want to bring down my team if I'm not able to show up for a round. Of course, this is still a better choice than not having a full team! So if the number of sign-ups isn't a multiple of 3, then feel free to recruit me. I fight for the Rebellion, by the way.

A bit late to it, but this is not a terrible idea.

Each team may, if they so choose, bring one (1) "alternate" who may play in one game per team matchup, replacing a regular team member only if that team member is unable to schedule a game. The "alternate" must use the list of the team member they are replacing. The use of an "alternate" must be announced when the game is officially scheduled in the thread.
