When do you think the wave 9 preview will be out? What do you think will be in it?

Both Armada and Imperial Assault have nothing in the queue right now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Wave 9 preview at the Coruscant Invitational or one of the Opens. It would seem like a logical place to announce it. It's a long time coming, but I'm guessing we'll see a mini-wave of Rebel/Imperial/Scum Veterans drip out between now and Wave 9 so there will be a release schedule. Maybe even a Scum Epic.

Guessing Wave 9 will have the TIE s/f for Imps and maybe the Mandalorian fighters and shuttle which have shown up in Rebels/Clone Wars respectively for Scum. Not sure about Rebels, though.

Useless speculation for me is:

Perhaps a Huge Ship, the one Han was flying around in pre- Falcon return.

Ships from the Rebels franchise. Or Clone Wars, or the Prequels. At this point, I think FFG should stay away from the EU stuff.

The Eravana is WAAAAAY too big to be an Epic ship. Maybe a playmat. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Eravanait's 3 times longer than the Raider. It would maybe just about fit onto an epic board, but nothing else would...

I hope Wave 9 isn't revealed for a long time. 8 isn't even shipping yet and we still have Imperial Veterans to look forward to. More than enough.

In order to avoid the complications of preorders, we may not see any previews of anything until after the April Fools policies go into effect.

Wave 9 announcement will probably be a few weeks after wave 8 comes out, but it could be longer.

I think we will get a Scum huge/epic ship "at the printer" before Wave 9 is announced.

I so doubt we will see any new TFA ships for awhile. Probably not much until some new, really useful ships are shown. Things that seem to add value to the game's design space I guess? It's like JJ Abrams didn't quite get how critical new spaceships were to the Star Wars fanbase! (Only sort of sarcastic). Everything we got was either an awesome redesign of existing ships, or variations on boxes, rectangles, and sideways rectangles.

We're gonna see a preview of a S&V special pack first, 'Black Sun Veterans' , 'Outer Rim Scoundrels' or something in that matter...

Since a few people have pointed out that Scum Veterans seems likely, what would people actually want to see in that box?

Scum still don't have "Aces"! Though seems likely they'll eventually get a box in the Ace/Veteran sort of way.

And I think it's been universally agreed upon that it'll be Scyks and StarVipers. Both "Scum Only" ships, Scyk could use a little loving, and the StarViper really wants more toys to play with (though personally I find the Viper to be just fine to throw on the board).

The only reason that I haven't picked up the StarViper yet is the points cost. Both named pilots seem expensive for what you're getting, though the PS1 guy simply with auto-thrusters seems OK value.

Perhaps it comes with 2 Scyks, just like Imp aces came with 2 interceptors...

It's actually jsut the opposite. Xizor and Guri can both do quite well, but the generics are overcosted (and suffer for not having the system slot).

At the Open finals at the Star Wars Celebration in London seems not unlikely. A big announcement for all their Star Wars games perhaps?
