I had a lot of fun with this list tonight at my local game shop. Deathrain can take a bit of a beating and keeps on trucking. My opponents focused their initial attacks his direction which auto Thrusters helped a long way. This gave Vader and Omega Leader to get in a great position to dish out some fire power. Having the combination of both bombs and mines was fantastic and wreaked havoc everywhere. Dropping a proximity mine out the front of the punisher on top of ship always feels amazing

I'm sure there has to be someone out there with a suggestion lol. Not one person has told me yet that engine upgrades on Vader can be points better spent

I'm guessing that you want to focus on Deathrain's bomb over the mines. I think that is a mistake. Sure you could drop the proton first thing and use its threat as area denial, but for 5 points I'm pretty sure you are wanting to deal damage. I think you'll get more milage out of Advanced Sensors and tossing that Prox mine when your opponent isn't expecting it. But a little more planing and thought on your part could mean you could forgoe both and use Accuracy Corrector and maximize 'Rain's primary fire.

Vader, I think you should drop Auto Thrusters and Veteran Instincts and give him a more offensive EPT. Maybe try to find enough space for a Proton Rocket. His double actions would really let you maximize a 5 dice attack in a single turn.

I like what you got here. These are just my suggestions, I think you should have a go as is. You never know until you fly.

I have flown Vader one time without EU, and I will never do it again. He really likes the boost to reposition. That said, I also have had nothing but bad luck with him not having an offensive EPT. I really like predator on him. I haven't played around with Deathrain much, so I'm not sure about the bombs/mines you're using. Maybe drop proton bomb to a Seismic Charge to get Predator on Vader? If I were running Omega and Vader with Deathrain, I'd basically have 11 points to spend on Deathrain. So if other people have a better idea on what's the best 11 points on him, hopefully they'll post it =p

Thanks for responding guys i found dropping the mines out the front guides after moving first can ruin someone's day. I like adding like predator to Vader, makes him even more dangerous. Dropping the proton bomb down to a seismic would allow me the points as suggested. Thanks for the replies
