Nope, Once Per Opportunity would prevent you double triggering.

Tomax Bren (24)Cool Hand (1)Fleet Officer (3)Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)TIE Shuttle (0)Colonel Vessery (35)Adaptability (+1) (0)Tractor Beam (1)TIE/D (0)Onyx Squadron Pilot (32)Ion Cannon (3)TIE/D (0)Total: 100
Give focus to the 2 defenders, get an evade. It makes the support ship harder to kill.
Best use I've seen is on the upcoming Tomax Bren in a TIE Shuttle. Pair with Fleet Officer, hand out two focus, get s third for yourself.
or.... a focus and evade for yourself.
for 28 points you can hand out a focus, take a focus and add an evade.
then you can either add Int agent, or tactician for your choice of strategic planning help.
in a super dire situation where you're taking fire from a Stresshog, pop that baby twice and add two evades. yeah it'll cost you the EPT, btu keep you alive (maybe) or soaking more shots supporting other ships even further.
You can't pop it twice.
You can in the scenario he proposed. That's if he stressed himself with fleet officer in the activation phase and used the ability of Tomax Bren to retain the card, then something stressed you in the combat phase, like a Stresshog, and you use the card again, but discard it this time.
Ah, I misread. Yeah, you'd lose the EPT completely if you did that.
As I've said before, I think it goes well with Targeting Astromech on the T-70.
This. I play this on my wingmen as I really enjoy list of:
Whatever Named pilot you like - 38pts
2x Red Squadron Veteran
-Targeting Astromech
-Cool Hand
-Weapons Guidance
-Integrated Astromech
They are quite consistent and self-reliable. And if you need few extra points, you can drop Weapons Guidance. But make a T-Roll (like a troll) and have Focus+Target Lock is very nice!
For a more offensive build, drop IA in favor of Guidance Chips and strap on Proton torps. Weapons Guidance changing blank to hit w/ cool hand focus+ proton changing eyeball to crit + Guidance changing whatever to crit means that shot is going to hurt.
Probably not great, but fun.
The only place I've seen moderate success with it is on the self stressing HWKs, Jan or Dace. Use the ability, and if you're in a tight spot, grab that evade or stack up another focus onto Moldy Crow if you're running it.
But I had never thought about the interaction with Targeting Mech. I can see that working very well with some munitions. Too bad there is no E-wing generic w/ an EPT. I'd almost be willing to give that a try. Cool Hand, targeting mech, Plasma or proton torps and guidance chips.
I like to put it on Luke Skywalker just for laughs. Either no-one notices or they're resolutely ignoring it because it's just not that funny.
Sorry about not really contributing anything entirely constructive. There's sometimes a great notion to make Paul Newman references until the empire falls. If anyone's found any others, though; please tell me about 'em and I'll show you the color of money.
