If you ride a motorcycle

By Trubble, in X-Wing

What ship is your ride?

What's your pilot skill?

and

What's your special ability?

So I have a GSX 1250 FA and I reckon it's a T70 X-wing, with autothrusters . She flies a bit better than a T65, definitely has a boost but she ain't no A-wing..

I've been commuter riding for 35 years so I reckon my pilot skill is about a 7 or 8. Lot's of experience but not a boy racer anymore. I was probably a 9 in my younger days, or at least thought I was.

Special ability, years of experience have given me some **** good spidey senses on the road and I'm always careful, I belong to the school of "If your having a lot of close calls then your doing it wrong". So I think my special is " If your in an attackers firing arc, roll 1 extra agility". Seeing as I'm always range 3 anyway, I'll get the range bonus and autothrusters, making me hard to hit.

So a fun thread I hope.

What's your ride, PS and special?

Haven't gotten the core set yet.....

PS1

Any attempt to perform a move which is not a straight or a K-Turn results in a fatal accident (reduced to zero Hull). All straights are green.

So I have a 1942 Harley WLA - I'd call it a Y-Wing with a Blaster Turret, R7 and Stealth Device.

A pilot skill of 4, I do most of my riding around the farm.

Special: when you reveal a hard turn manoeuvre, if you do not have a stress token, you may treat this manoeuvre as a Talon Roll of the same speed and bearing. (This comes from a lot of gravel riding, and sharp spins chasing sheep...not on the Harley!)

Current bike is an '06 SV 650. Not the fastest thing in the world, but it has plenty of pick and go for me. I'd say its a TIE Advanced, its a workhorse that isn't the sexiest or fastest ship on the board/road, but she has it where it counts.
Special: You're dial gains a straight forward 1 and all your straight maneuvers are green. (Represents that sweet torque from the V-twin)

I just realized I'm Juno Eclipse! I should play her more.

As another 06 SV650 rider, and an Imperial, I like your assessment of our awesome bike!

Got my first bike right before regional season last year, a 2013 suzuki gw250. I went all summer without dumping it so I'll call my pilot skill 2. Rode her pretty deep into the winter but she's in the shed now :/. Pains me to say it but the equivalent ship is probably an a wing or an m3a, maybe a tie fo? It's a good looking bike for 250cc. A guy in my group rides a 'l4 (?) Sportster and another guy has an older gsxr. Man, I can't wait to get back on the bike.

I ride a Yamaha fz1. It's a litre street bike and does everything I want. I'd say it's a t70 - versatile but doesn't excell at any one thing.

I ride for a living too, so probably around ps6.

Special ability is predicting stupidity from other road users.

I have a CT110 postie bike and round the sheep up with it, and sneek off to the pub on.

Pilot skill 1

Has evade and barrel roll

Pft, motorcycles. Discriminatory!

I've got a Ford Focus which is a large base ship. The dial is pretty similar to a Lambda. Pilot skill of 7 because I've had quite a bit of training.

My special ability is that every time another ship blocks my ship, I gain a stress token, when I have a stress token, all my white manoeuvres are treated as green. It's quite unbalanced and I don't see much use in competitive play.

And this isn't off topic why?

More importantly do you all make speeder bike sound effects in your head as you're riding about? I know for sure that I would.

I ride a 1998 Triumph Daytona T595. I'd say it most resembles a Defender; horrifically fast and powerful - in a straight line! Whilst she doesn't mind the twisties, those tight ones deffinately leave me with a stress token!!

I've been riding 15 years so I'd say I'm a firm PS 5. I've also done a lot of cross country with a pillion, so I'd say my ability would just be a crew slot for a back seat driver!

Pilot Ability: At the beginning of the Activation Phase you may look at all enemy dials for ships at Range 1. Gain a Focus token for each red maneuver revealed this way.

I'm on a GSXF 750 with about 7 years experience, so maybe a TIE Advanced at PS5? My Pilot ability would probably be:

When revealing any straight maneuver, you may immediately perform a free boost action. If your maneuver causes you to overlap a large ship or obstacle, suffer a face up damage card. (Because bikes always lose the argument with non-bikes)

Had a 2001 suzuki intruder. That's defo a Y-wing with bomb loadout.

There was one chicane at deppers bridge that i used to fly through, i hummed the death star trench run tune when I did. usually.

I'd give myself PS4. I rode all year round through any weather. That itself deserves some respect IMO. Yes. I went through snow. No I would not do it again.

I reckon I'd ignore debris fields. Rode through hail, rode behind trucks with stones. Did not like, did it anyway.

2004 Victory deluxe touring cruiser

I'ld say it's the hound's tooth with a gunner (wife) VI, And EU.

Ps 9

Lol this is fun :)

81 Honda Silverwing... I'd call it a Y-Wing with it being reliable, bulletproof and efficient (~50 MPG, 5 gallon tank)... Ancient, but still works.... Certainly NOT going to win any races, but it will get you there...

What ship is your ride? XR-650 Y-wing or DL-1000 K-wing with engine upgrade!!

What's your pilot skill? 11 of course :P as i have been to many classes and was also chosen to be a mentor for my squadron and am an avid OFF road rider. zipping between trees that are narrower than your handelbar width in sand/muddy conditions is waaaay harder than any pavement ride.. I am also an older fart with age comes experience and wisdom...(most of the time)

and

What's your special ability? For the XR when you hit another ship or object take a stress but dont take damage and can make K turns at any speed!!!

For the DR-1000 Advance SLAM on road AND if off road take 2 stress and one damage. Its a tank off road and its turn signals explode if you just look at them funny...

1990 Honda CBR 600

It's a tie fighter.

I'm about PS3 at the moment.

I drive a special needs school bus (a short bus), maneuverable little thing, it's a YT-2400.

Been driving professionally for about 9 years, no accidents, received some awards, so I think PS9 is fair.

EDIT: forgot the EPT slot

Driving a school bus, especially special needs, you quickly run across every crazy type of situation you never thought you'd ever have to deal with, so you either get nerves of steel or you get a different job.

Cool Hand (1)
When you receive a stress token, you may discard this card to assign 1 focus or evade token to your ship.

2012 Yamaha Raider (1854cc).

I've been riding for 31 years with no laydowns or accidents, so PS 8. Gotta reserve PS 9 for the professionals, I think.

My bike is a JM5K with Unhinged and Engine Upgrade. My pilot ability is "After executing a maneuver of speed 3 or higher, you may perform a boost."

I drive a 105000 lb heavy haul semi. I think it's kinda the same as a motorcycle.

Man that's my dream bike, how's it treating you?

I rode a '99 Yamaha V Max until just a few years ago. 1100 cc, 0-60 in three seconds... Ahh it was hot. I would like to say it was my very own TIE Interceptor, but it handled like a Hawk.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Ural though. I figure the side car would make it a YT-1300.
