Favourite Hard Point Weapon?

Mine is the Gozanti's turret. Cheap to fire ( only one energy ), 360 degree, range 30 ctms and no minimun range, only 5 pts. Good and versatile in any Huge. I am on a train now ( and quite sleepy ) no rulebook near... can a CR 90 / Raider equip 3 of these beautyes?

If it is ok, quite impresive AAA defence. Small and Large must enter the kill zone to attack...

Depends on what I'm doing. Sometimes I put the Ion Battery on the fore of the Raider. You can use it to ion ship that are in your path, and I don't think I need to explain it any further. Single Turbolaser works well in the fore too, especially if you're going up against an enemy Huge ship like the CR 90.

However, putting Ion Batteries on the aft section means you can really ruin an opponent's attempt to get behind you, so it's great as an offense/defense all-rounder there. And of course Quads go on the aft section as your best defense that isn't other ships.

I dunno, I can't decide on a favorite. So for sheer destructive capabilities we'll just say Single Turbolaser because my usual opponents are fond of B-Wings, Y-Wings and K-Wings.

Yes, when I first read the Single Turbolaser card I thought "Mmmm...doubles target's agility...bahhh". After suffering some hard beating on my loaded Decimator I changed my mind..

Singles plus Gunnery Team can ruin your day. But perhaps my favourite is the Quads. It is a little like the WW 2 era quadruple 40mm Bofors AAA defence guns on ships, Those old images of the rain of shells smashing japanese dive bombers...

But so range limited that for a brief moment I imagined three Gozanti's Double Laser concentrating fire at range 3 on a heavy fighter...

Definitely Homing Missiles.

I haven't had a chance to use the new stuff from the Gozanti....or even the Gozanti yet. I do like it's turret. It's not sexy or exciting, but it's just good.

I've used Single Turbo Lasers successfully against X-wings. If you roll bad, you still die. I managed 4 hits on an X-wing once.

Quads are good for the rear section of ships. That's usually when things are in close range.

I do want to try Ion Torpedo, though. 4 red dice, but also ionize all within R1? Yes, please.

As many turbolasers as I can with Jonus flying nearby and some Tibanna Gas supplies.

Plus it's a lovely chance to teach your Rebel friends some empathy.

Proton Rockets, or maybe Ion Torpedoes, I really like them both.

Proton Rockets on a Huge????....mmmmm... I think not ok. The posibility to equip 3 ordnance Hard Points is a big boom to Huges. Fire and use no energy... You pay for the mod, so equip 3 of those. Proton torps, Assault Mis, Cluster...and lets rock.

But I like the AAA barrage look. Big E firing her guns make me hot. An Aeguis system finishing a poor guy not. So long live Quads !!!

I don't like too much Ordnance on an Epic. Not enough TL's to go around. Even if you use Homing Missile and keep the TL, how often do you really want to shoot a missile at the same target? Weapons Eng helps, yes, but I still think having other tools is better.

I'm fond of Turbolasers. Flipping the focus to a hit, and then flipping a blank to a hit with Gunnery Team means you're generating lots of hit results. It's effective even against ships who are rolling 4 evade dice, because you can choose to fire at ships without focus tokens.

Ion Torpedoes. The others are fun, but a giant burst of radiation sleeting through the enemy fighters is a joy to behold. It can make them really easy to run over. :D

Homing missles, Ion batteries

Can't use prockets cause huge ships cant use focus (also, 0 agil means 2 dice), same with xx tracers.

I love plasma torps, ion torps, and homing missiles for ordinance, and single turbos, cause the raider cant shoot range 5 like the cr90 can

I think plasma torps and assault missles are both awesome. Quad laser is solid. honestly, the best hardpoint weapon is a mix.

Proton torpedoes can dish out the crits, ion battery is highly useful, quad lasers are good for point defense, and having a hardpoint fire without using energy makes your whole ship more effective. homing missles are also great, I think, but the best loadouts feature a mix. Now that both sides have some big ships, I also think singe turbolaser is worthwhile.

Never bring a decimator to an epic battle where there are actually huge ships on the board. It's just becomes a fat target for big guns to shoot at.

I perfer to equip hardpoints that are not in the range of the ships PWT. Such as for the Raider I would go with STL to reach out to range 5 and a quick range 1-2 weapon for close up attacks. For the CR-90 Ion Cannon Batteries and QLT work the best as it covers the 1-2 range gap the turret has.
