Voidstate's Squadron Builder Now Exports to Han Shopped First

By voidstate, in X-Wing

Hi All

I thought you might like to know about a new feaure on my squadron builder: You can now see how much your squadrons cost to buy

Warning: you may wish to be sitting down before trying this feature out!

In the Builder, just go to Share... > Another App, then, on the Export page, go to Export to... > Han Shopped First

Nice work!

Love your builder. We play causual almost exclusively and my cards have not seen the light of day in at least 6 months. your printed lists are so much easier to manage than 20 cards and tokens. thanks for all the effort

I love the way it prints. Thank you,

If people link me to squadrons on this I can view them and it looks great, but if I try to use it it won't ever go past the 'load' screen :(

Is there anyway to change the email address we used and still save our squads?

Also do I have to use a Facebook login? I'm not fond of facebook.

The Facebook requirement is the one thing that keeps me from using Voidstate's builder.

Unfortunately I created a separate email address just for things like this.

There's nothing stopping you getting a free gmail account and using that for Facebook but never using any Facebook feature except logging into stuff...

I have free GMail accounts, I just have no interest In sacrificing one to Facebook and going through all their sign-up junk just to use a squadron builder even if I like it's features. Why not go with OAuth rather than forcing people down the Facebook route?

next feature, export to vassal .vlog

(A MAN CAN DREAM)

nice work btw

Hi Muon

What is the format of a Vassal .vlog? If anyone wants to write something that turns XWS into .vlog files, I'd be happy to export to it.

It's not that bad.

...

It was a little bad.

So, I was using this today, and I noticed that you added the option to edit your collection by individual components.

Thanks a lot for that! As someone that trades and gets cards from eBay, my collection finally reflects exactly what I own. Which is a huge help building squadrons.

As a TO, one of the questions I most often field is related to how to get the squadron ID on a printed list.

And I have to admit...the process is a bit clunky. That is - if you load or create a squad, and just click the 'print' button right on top...which 99.9% of the lists I get turned in do...you don't get the squadron ID or QR code printed.

Instead, you have to load a saved squad, then re-save it (or get a shareable link for it), then when you print that version, you get the squadron ID and QR code.

Which most people (looking at the stack of turned-in squad lists I've received) seem to miss.

Any way to address that?

That said, while I love the Collection feature, it doesn't seem to be working quite right yet.

For whatever reason, my Collection has a bunch of different astromechs in it that I don't actually have. And even though I keep removing them and saving, everytime I go back to my collection, they're back again.

Also, it just straight up stopped working. I was building a huge list containing everything I own in it, and noticed that after putting an upgrade on a ship, if I took the upgrade off, that item didn't return to my collection pool. And now, when I start a new squadron, it doesn't even show my numbers at all anymore.
