I was browsing that auction site and came across some translucent dice that look almost spot on to the FFG 2014 Regional top 8 dice. I was almost certain they were official FFG dice and the seller wasn't quite sure what they had and were selling them cheap. But then noticed they were available in black as well. I don't want to post any links but if you want search for x-wing miniatures dice. The seller is in Great Britain. I personally don't care if second hand dice are used at any level of play but just want to warn everyone.
Second hand dice
I've got one second hand red die myself... As in I counted my dice at GenCon last year, found myself short and my opponent ended up passing me one of his reds. I'm headed back this year and certainly looking to return the extra die to its proper owner.
Using second hand dice is like using second hand underwear. It works. But...
I remember reading a post about those a while back. I strongly suggest staying away. At best, they may be improperly manufactured and accidentally skewed. At worst, your opponent can accuse you of cheating. IIRC, the results on the dice were placed differently, more clustered. I say skip them.
Rules are clear on what can be third party. Dice and asteroids are not on that list. If it is not sure that the dice are made by FFG then best not to use them.

... you'll get crabs?

...a true wookie won't use it anyway!

The fact that it's technically not allowed in tournaments aside, IMO a set of 3rd party dice is more likely to be better manufactured compared to the FFG ones than vice-versa.
As a long-time D&D player I've seen/owned many dice packs. Few have had more air bubbles than ffgs translucent regional dice (and based on the info of somebody who x-rayed them, the regular ones have the same issue too).
EDIT: this is the link for the x-rayed dice:
