B-wing tap tap / Rebel Carry list.

By Dantastic, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

For a carrier list, what do you think? I really want to get a double tap off with three B wings!

Can it be done?!

Yes, it can be done, and it's glorious. In one game, my B-Wings killed a Gladiator or Raider every turn until my opponent only had an ISD.

Curious, could you elaborate on your inclusion of Leia on Yavaris?

Thank you kindly.

Leia means that independance never has to pick squadron command as can always copy Yavaris.

Please include Keylan for the Adar Yav triple tap!

Man, Keyan would be awesome if I could squeeze him in. I would like to keep this at about 392-394 max as I think going first would be pretty important. I could however try with a HWK downgrade.

A couple things I'm wondering about is;

Will it hurt me not having boosted coms?

Also is Adar Talon best bet being on home one?

If Yavaris is destroyed (not too difficult) Independence could be left for 3 turns before being able to do a squadron command.

Put Raymus Antilles on Yavaris to get the extra squadron counter each time Yavaris activates. Now 3 B-wings can double tap or if involved in a major dogfight get the X-Wings to double tap against fighters.

Boosted comms is probably better than the tractor beam and then consider Ordnance experts on the MC30 but I agree a decent initiative bid is important.

Lots of good tips from Mad Cat. I'll add that going 1st isn't essential for a Yavaris-based list unless you are going faster than speed 1 when you get to long range or you foolishly expose your side arc. By having Yavaris activate after an enemy ship has moved, there's a better chance of double-tap opportunities if you've positioned well or your opponent is going really fast.

I've been working on deployment and maneuver patterns that put Yavaris between two other ships. If something gets a side arc shot on the Yavaris that isn't obstructed, I've made a horrible mistake or another ship is already dead.

I will definitely practice maneuvering with these three ship to try and tuck Yavaris into the safest possible spot.

I also agree with Mad Cat about boosted comms over tractor beams. As fun as it would be to slow ships down in attempt to set up the B-wings boosted comms might work better. As for Antilles, if I were to go that route would I be better of ditching Garm for Dodonna?

All those Bombers and no Dodonna.

You're a better admiral than me flying a three ship Rebel Fleet with two small ships.
