Fear The Power Of My Ultimate Attack, Zantetsuken!

By ninjahX, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

So I was one again experimenting and discovered this pretty awesome build path that is straight up Campione (if anyone knows what that show is) requires about 220 exp (after starting)

Makashi duelist starting, Human, raise 3 stats to 3 rest in knowledge lore and parry,

Heres the cool part with 5 ranks in knowledge lore and using the makashi finish technique assuming you're still light side when you make a combat check and succeed and crit you have a about a 50%, give or take, chance of instantly killing any one person once per session (+100 from 5 dark side) either that or they'll be severely injured

Thoughts...?

What does Lore have to do with it?

There is a talent in Advisor called Knowledge is Power that lets you use your ranks in Knowledge(Lore) as your force rating for one check once per session.

Wouldn't work more than once and after that if there is more baddies you're out of luck. It's better to build a character that can withstand multiple opponents then doing the one trick pony.

A GM, like I am, would easily psych out the player by describing this terrifying BBEG and have you fight him. You use your one trick pony on him and the GM pulls the rug out from you by saying that it was only a minion. Here comes the real BBEG.

I have a character that is a Makashi Duelist with lethal blows and a Krayt Dragon Pearl - I get +100 on a crit pretty easily and have gotten net results of 250+.

That said, the BBEG kicked my ass by keeping me on the defensive the entire time - he used his advantage to give me difficulty increases and setbacks, lit me on fire with a Barab ingot, and used his maneuvers to disengage while minions opened fire at range so I couldn't stand still and aim. I ended up fleeing to the turbolift, with the rest of the party, on fire and bleeding out and maybe 2 turns away from character death.

I think think the makashii concept is amazing and works really well in duels... if it's a fair fight. Otherwise things can go sideways really quickly.

Did you not have curved hilts or superior hilt? also sorry i didnt mention this, but this is best done dual wielding so when you attack you get 4 adv when engaged with a single opponent
