So I have a store championship coming up, and I'm looking for some advice on lists. I've narrowed it down to 2:

Miranda & Dash

Miranda, TLT, 3PO, engine upgrade

Dash, ptl, hlc, Kyle, title, engine upgrade

Brobots

IG-88 B&C

Both with crack shot, fire control system, hlc, title, autothrusters and glitterstim

I have flown the first list a lot, most recently getting to the top 4 in a casual tournament and only losing brutally in the last game by flying dash off the table. I am far more comfortable with this list, but I feel like it will suffer against mass TLTs. I haven't faced TLT lists a lot, but I expect them to come out of the woodwork for a store championship.

I have some experience with brobots, and I like this list because it has a good chance at shrugging off TLT fire and fixes the major issue I've had in the past (I used to run mangler/predator bots and they always felt a little weak in the firepower department). In the end though, I just don't feel nearly as comfortable with this list as the other. Is comfort with a list more important than taking a more "meta" list? And with that in mind, will 4 TLTs shred the Miranda dash list as brutally as it seems like it will?

Edit: I also feel like the brobots will do better against palp aces, another list I expect to see a few of.

Does Miranda need engine upgrade? She doesn't have Tactician and already has SLAM in case of trouble.

Both lists look fun!

I've found engine upgrade helps a lot if you need just a nudge to get out of arc but don't want to lose your shooting. I used to use shield upgrade but it was rarely needed. Might swap 3PO for tactician though.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. If you lose one IG88, even if your opponent has only one ace left, your chances of winning are slim (assuming your opponent is decent). Of course, if you kill both aces before losing both IG88s, your chances of losing are slim...
