Círdan Allies - Fun approach improvement needed!

By eldarblog, in Strategy and deck-building

Greetings,
I played with this concept a bit. While I don't consider myself new to the game I have just started deck building on my own. I tried the following last weekend and beat Journey Down the Anduin and the first two quests from the lost realm. I was hoping to get some improvements from you great people who have given me great decks to play so far. I know I didn't include some allies like Legolas and Gimli it is because I don't own them. However, please leave your thoughts regardless of my card base.

Great deck concept. It seems like you are putting high power allies into your discard and then using Stand and Fight to bring them into play. Then you can use Narya to ready them. The Dwarven Tombs bring back Stand and Fight and Steward of Gondor and Zigil Miner provide the massive resources needed.

The ally Erector fits perfectly with the theme of the deck.

Ranger of Cardolan is bad. You can't bring back neutral allies with stand and fight. He is too expensive for his stats. If you could use his ability he might be okay, but you don't have the right heroes.

If your deck is focused on high powered allies then you don't need so many ready effects for your heroes. I think you can cut at least 1 unexpected courage, maybe 2.

With Treebeard, enter allies would be good. Low cost for Stand and fight, and work well with Narya.

You might want 1 Will of the West.

You can use Map of Earanil to get more uses out of Stand and Fight, too, though it's a little pricey as a Spirit/Leadership deck.
