So, nothing really all that special... Set up at an angle, presenting broadsides and daring them to approach.

While I like the Intel Agent/XI7 combo on the AF, I could drop that to put Leia back on the Jainas Light to allow me to change Commands...

Fighters for the most part are just there as "Linebackers" to keep enemy fighters at bay long enough for the broadsides to do their work. With Rogue they can hold back and then move up to engage the fighters, getting in a shot, usually I try to either gum up the big mass of fighters or target specific ones if I find Escorts out of position for instance...

Mission selection is the sucker bet (Advanced Gunnery for the MC-80), and a pair I can rack up bonus points on should I get player 2... If I am reading "Fire Lanes" correctly, I can put all 3 right on top of each other and just set up to collect the 45 points/turn until the other player gets close enough to challenge and essentially runs right into my broadsides? Seems too good to be correct, but...

There is a general rule that number of upgrades should match the intial cost of the ship.

Your Assault frigate appears to be over upgraded, though I can see why you have added each upgrade, it just makes it a far more valuable target than the MC80. Consider putting the intel officer and X7's on the MC80 instead. (Which at medium range will be just as effective anyway)

The MC80 is under upgraded and would benefit from engine techs to get movement 3. Arguably worth the downgrade from Assualt to Command variant.

Similarly the Corvette doesnt need ECM, if it gets hammered its dead either way. And with Jaina's light you should be able to keep it hidden anyway.

You have read fire lanes correctly, but remember that your opponent will shift them by 2". Contested Outpost works the same without the alteration by the first player. Advanced Gunnery is obscene with an MC80.

I agree that the first serious attention on the Corvette is usually the last, so the ECM there should get shifted... My MC-80 tends to draw a LOT more fire, though that is at least partially because I deploy it closer to the enemy, allowing the Frigate to stay at the longer ranges and snipe defense tokens (Brace mostly)... The the cruiser activates and with XI7's all around, the redirects are mostly useless... Good idea on the Engine Techs, stopped using them, but they DO provide a lot that I could use I think...

The other point on Fire Lanes/contested output is that you give a very clear signal of your deployment before deploying, so it wont take them long to get in range if they want to brawl. (Thats why I dont take them unless I am carrying a lot of squadrons)

Could give the MC80 Lando or Raymus to aid its survivability?

I used to run my MC-80 with Ramus, Engine Techs, ECM, Redundant Shields and the XI7's... Gets pretty expensive and I found myself not really using several of the upgrades in a lot of games... That and I needed to come up with a passable Fighter screen, so I played Dash and 3 YT-2400's... Could drop a few things here and there, but 4 Rogue Fighter stands is about the minimum I need to screen my fleet I think, even then they do of course get overwhelmed in a few turns, just trying to buy a bit of time really...
