Hi all, new to x wing and decided to fly scum as my first faction. I'm trying to find a viable and competitive build for a upcoming local tournament so I don't get creamed and was hoping to get feed back on this list

It should do okay. Your only weakness is all the self-stressing on Kath makes her mobility limited and other stress-lists that much more debilitating against her. If you can keep her out of arc on the initial pass though, you can do alright (of things that cause stress, I mean).

Those y-wings really don't like range 3, but don't have a lot of control over initial engagement range, so you'll need to be as unpredictable as you can with them to get the ideal shots you want.

I've never been happy with PtL on firesprays. Maybe others have had better success idk. Thing is they like to do a lot of greens anyway but also a lot of turns and Ks when needed not to mention double stress will happen and then shes in trouble. Better to keep your options open and go action independent IME. Predator + tactician (synergy with those thugs not restricted to greens) or VI would be a better fit.

Never tried that setup on the Ys. I saw it around early on due to its jousting power. If it works for you great but I feel they may get outflown too easily in the current meta.

I'd take it for a spin a few times and keep an eye on PtL and title specifically. As it stands your list with a pushed/TL kath has about half the mobility and threat radius of kath with predator and 2 TLTs.

My regular opponent uses kath with prox mines,glitterstim gunner and....I forget what else.

Then two thugs with autoblaster turrets.

It seems that as i flit about avoiding the thugs R1 pain bubbles that kath ends up getting to point her butt at me for the bug rear arc shots.

He's getting good at it, and my imp aces are starting to not be happy about it.

Just throwing that out as an idea if you ever think about a variation on what you are working on.

Also...he calls it "scarlet monastery". Wich is fun.
