What direction is FFG headed? Trillogy of TFA

By Chief Hugh, in X-Wing

I've said this before, i expect these ships:

Reissue of Millenium Falcon, possibly with Black and Orange T-70, scum pikots (unkar plutt), Rey and Finn (pilot and crew), and possibly SLAM illicit upgrade, because the new Falcon title will give an illicit slot (yes, even to rebels).

Upsilon class command shuttle Kylo Ren, Phasma, and Hux crew. This is a large base.

TIE/sf with its auxillary rear arc, missile slot, crew slot and new mag pulse ordnance.

First Order landing craft. These are a small based ship, with an attack 1 primary turret, and two crew slots. Very cheap, poor turning but decent forward speed. Expect 14 points cost wise.

Resistance transport - another small base two crew ship, but cannon slot. Many thought this was a b-wing when first revealed. Apparently this ship waa cobbled together from many parts, including having the cockpit of a mk II B-wing, which means, we may very well see a new B-wing.

There is Plenty for a full wave of Epispde VII ships. I suspect wave 9 will have several of these ships I mentioned. The Falcon and Black Leader x-wing as a two pack gets int rhe hands of players, most of the things many clamour for: Rey Pilot, Finn crew, And all the other named x-wing pilots; Nein Numb, Jessika Pava, Temmin "Snap" Wexley, possibly even Lieutenant Bastian.

Well most of the ships in Rebels and Imps are canon - for Rebels the E-Wing and K-Wing aren't, for Imps the Phantom and Punisher aren't (the Raider is in a strange spot - considering when it was developed it could be canon.) Scum have the most non-canon ships with only the Firespray and YV-666 being the 2 exceptions.

For new movie ships, I expect between 2 to 4 new ships per year introduced in movie canon per year from each movie. The following is my list of small and large ships (but not huge) from each movie (Special Editions have 1 entry)

ANH - [5] X-wing, Y-Wing, TIE Fighter, TIE Advanced, YT-1300

TESB - [2] TIE Bomber, Firespray-31

ROTJ - [4] A-Wing, B-Wing, TIE Interceptor, Lambda T-4a

SE Trilogy - [2] Sentinel, YT-2400

TPM - [3+2] N-1, Star Courier, Vulture [unarmed/Civilian]: J-type 327, Sheathipede

AOTC - [2+4] Delta-7 Aethersprite, Nantex [unarmed/Civilian]: Taylander shuttle, H-type yacht, J-type diplomatic barge, Punworcca 116
ROTS - [9] J-type star skiff, Theta T-2c, ARC-170, Alpha-3 Nimbus V-wing, Belbullab-22, Eta-2 Actis, Mankvim-814, Porax-38, Tri-fighter
TFA - [6+1] Upsilon, TIE/fo, TIE/sf, T-70 X-wing, Atmospheric Assault Lander, Resistance transport [unarmed/Civilian]: Quadrijet
I expect other sources (Rebels, games, novels, short stories, comics etc) to contribute more to the canon pool than movies however.

You forgot TIE Shuttle in ESB. As long as they don't pull a W40k and disable and disband the EU ships for the currently lackluster NT ships, I don't honestly care.
