2-3 players?

By MrBody, in Chaos in the Old World

How do 2-3 player games work out? Are they doable/fun?

Never played two players, but I would suggest using opposing powers. Khorne vs Slaanesh, and Tzeentch vs Nurgle

3 people work. If someone is is Khorne, though, you should also have Slaanesh, as the best defence against the Bloodletters just clearing the board.

I think I posted in the wrong place.

Eh? I don't quite understand what you mean.

The game as written does not support 2 player games. One of the suggestions is to have each player control two Gods

I did play a 2 player game. We each took 2 sides that were opposite, ie Khorne and Tzeencth vs Nurgle and Slaanesh. The rules we imposed were...

1. Both of your gods had to have a victory condition in order to win.

2. In the battle phase, you would have to assign hits to Daemons even if they are on your side.

Went pretty smoothly, Nurgle and Slaanesh won with both having 50+ VPs even thought Khorne had advancement dial win but Tzeentch had neither.

Still need to iron out somethings, but enjoyable and balanced.

Hi,

I and my wife have just received a copy of CitOW and we'd like to play in 2 sometimes. Do you have any useful tips?

Thank you in advance,
