The "Come and Get Me" Mothma List

By reegsk, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

So this is partially inspired by Clon's Raider list. And here we go:

380/400

Most Wanted

Contested Outpost

Intel Sweep

Mon Mothma

CR90B

- SW-7 Ion Cannons

CR90B

- SW-7 Ion Cannons

CR90B

- SW-7 Ion Cannons

CR90B

- SW-7 Ion Cannons

CR90A

- Mon Mothma

- Jaina's Light

- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits

Nebulon-B Support Refit

- Salvation

- Slaved Turrets

Nebulon-B Support Refit

- Slaved Turrets

The idea is that the Corvettes jump into Medium range and drop five damage each, then blow past the enemy ships and continue laying down guaranteed damage with their blue dice. The CR90A hangs back with the Nebs (or runs around the board) and uses TLRC to drop a guaranteed four damage, while the Nebs each throw four red dice from their front arcs. Since they're the most stationary, the Nebs are almost guaranteed to die. And this is very weak against a Rhymerball, because it could easily pop a Corvette if the ball is big enough (although, at Medium range I would still get my Evades).

The CR90s should actually be able to chew up an ISD in one round of shooting. They throw out a guaranteed twenty damage (double arcing shouldn't be too hard against a target that size), and spending all defense tokens twice only reduces it to 18 and redirects a maximum of eight damage, so that's four into the front shields and six into the hull. The Nebs and CR90A could actually finish it off. I'll be guaranteed to lose one or two (especially against a dual ISD list with Gunnery Teams), but after that they should be behind the opponent. Actually, this list would be amazing to play against a dual ISD list. Three ISDs might be trouble, though. . .

Actually I've already thought of one possible tweak - swapping Slaved Turrets for TLRCs on the Nebs. Trading a potential extra one or two damage for a guaranteed two. It also synergizes with Salvation, because I can flip it to a crit AND still get that two damage. They probably won't need their Evades anyway, because my opponent will likely have more dice targeting the 'vettes.

By my calculations this only comes to 387 points; did you leave something out?

That's it, I'm bringing Rieekan out to play and maxing my points. These bids are officially ridiculous.

I dont even know where you begin countering Riekan in this list. Its just death, lots of death.

Are you talking about using this list with Rieekan, or using Rieekan against this list?

If the former, that would take away a large portion of this build's survivability. Sure, they're guaranteed to get their attacks, but you're trading points as opposed to trying to score points and survive. I'd rather spam torpedo frigates with Ordnance Experts and Assault Proton Torpedoes.

Against this list it won't make much difference. It's going to take a good four or five activations to kill a big ship, so it will already have activated and fired before it dies. The only difference it staying on the board will make is that I'll have to maneuver around it as opposed to just flying through its debris.
