On Maneuvering Fins

Basically, it sucks v_v

either you nag 1-bank because it's green (and green is the best due to K4)

that's all.

Dengar crew fires K4 from your one of YV-666 list. It works with every manuever and has the potential to play with outlaw tech. If you're using K4 instead of Dengar crew, it better be because Dengar is in another one of your ships or you have ordinance you need the locks for.

I don't think the Navigator is all that needed. The fins alone allow you to shift your arc by 45 degrees, which in combination with IA is well worth two points.

HLK can get you 4 blanks, something Dengar won't fix, but K4 will. K4 lets VI Tactician Bossk see the distance between him and filthy ace and consider boosting

YV has nice greens

Bossk still wants his daredevil+EU

and situations when you will have no make LESS sharp turns are non-existent. If the fins allowed you to change both ways, yeah, would be great, but the way they are? Waste of point.

I think fins, navigator, intel sounds great to block those pesky A wings, intercepters, Vader, Cheebo. Action denial is really needed to keep their green dice, target lock shenanigans. Shame you missout on anti pursuit lasers, ion projector. Good combo.

I think maneuvering fins are fine if taken solely as a 1 point filler. Very handy for those "oh s**t, I wish I could bank right now" moments, but once you start spending more points to try to "abuse" the power of banking instead of turning, you're gonna end up disappointed.

I think if you've got the point, and don't care enough about initiative bid, it's a good tool.

Not to detract from the OP, the case is well thought out and well stated. But as far as I'm concerned, its the upgrade for Bossk when I don't have points for an engine.

Not needed, but it adds some wonderful versatility. You know you're going left, so set yourself to a three turn and then take whichever bank or turn in that direction really works out best for you. And if you go straight, you still gain the usefulness of having a Navigator, which on Bossk could help prevent you from being blocked.

It's not necessary, but anything that gives your movement more versatility is a good thing in my book.

Expert Handling Bossk is gonna be a much better fit with Fins vs. EU as well (and he already doesn't mind IA)...

If you expect to have actions available, then EU is a better choice, otherwise it's Fins all the way. AP/IP just doesn't bring all that much to the table (usually, though obviously with IA and Expert Handling it's a more viable option).
