Wave VIII - List advice...

Hi all, I'm after advice on this list from people...

Major Carnage (100)

The Inquisitor (31) - TIE Adv. Prototype

Push The Limit (3),

TIE/v1 (1),

Autothrusters (2)

Carnor Jax (32) - TIE Interceptor

Royal Guard TIE (0),

Autothrusters (2),

Stealth Device (3)

Colonel Vessery (37) - TIE Defender

Veteran Instincts (1),

Tractor Beam (1),

TIE/D (0)

Twin ION MKII (1)

The plan is that all three ships support each other at PS8. The Inquisitor uses PTL & Title to TL, Focus and Evade on a target, Vessery then shoots first with a TB benefitting from TL to reduce targets agility and then double taps (again with a TL) then Carnor & The Inquisitor also benefit from the reduced agility. All the while if Carnor is at range 1 of the target then there will be no Ficus or Evade tokens to help save from 'Major Carnage' being inflicted...

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I appreciate the list requires Imperial Veterans also so probably won't be viable till 2017, (sad face....)

It honestly looks pretty solid. I'd prefer Omega Leader over Carnor Jax. You could make the T-Beam an Ion Cannon and run OL with Stealth Device. Depends on how badly you want the Tractor Beam.

I also swapped the Inquisitors PTL for Juke, because I am skeptical of how good it is, since you can only go slow or go straight with him when stressed. That is just guesswork on my side, though, and in the end both versions will have their merits.

The standart loadout for Omega Leader is Juke + Comms Relay, here a Stealth Device is added for more tankiness, because the points are there.

It's down as March but Wave VIII was down as November and looking like March..

It honestly looks pretty solid. I'd prefer Omega Leader over Carnor Jax. You could make the T-Beam an Ion Cannon and run OL with Stealth Device. Depends on how badly you want the Tractor Beam.

I would drop VI + Stealth off of Jax for push the limit in its place. That leaves you at 99, so with the last point you can put a TIE mk2 engine on Vessery.

We won't see IMP Vets until late April at the earliest.

Then drop stealth device and get push the limit on Jax. Push is far more important than stealth...

Either way, that Jax should be 31 points.

OL has the advantage of being a secondary Vessery partners, but I get what you mean. Maybe you should go for Juke on the Inquisitor anyways because it synergizes very well with CJs ability?
