Yesterday, A New Hope again...

By Hexdot, in X-Wing Off-Topic

But watching the film in a brand new mega TV. One of my fellow players worked this Sunday on his new TV / sound system combo. And yesterday ep 4. 72" screen, my first Star Wars 3D experience. No words.

My TV is a medium budget 36", 2D only. Another world. I am not a tech fan but...no words.

None of the movies are available in 3D. Not sure if his tv can do some kind of conversion but it would be pretty poor I'd think.

72 inch, not a size I'd want in my living room really.

But I can imagine how it would be a great experience.

Maybe one day, when I'm all grown up and have room to spare to make a dedicated TV room. I'd love to see movies such as Lawrence of Arabia or Top Gun or other visually exciting stuff on a huge screen.

Kelly McGuillis on a really BIG screen.... Ahhh those teenager wet dreams.

But pixeled Tom Cruise face.

Jetplanes! Going VROOM!

I can't wait for an affordable VR Headset so I can fool my brain into thinking I am seing ANH on a big screen. Or really any Star Wars movie. It isn't quite the real thing, but to me that is the most exciting perspective VR offers. The home cinema in my head!
