I had an interesting situation come up with Dengar vs Biggs. Even though it never triggered, I decided to bring it up.
Based on the wording, it seems like Dengar can shoot the ship that shot at him, regardless if Biggs is nearby.
Biggs' ability, for reference:
- Other friendly ships at Range 1 cannot be targeted by attacks if the attacker could target you instead.
Dengar's ability, for reference:
- Once per round after defending, if the attacker is inside your firing arc, you may perform an attack against that ship.
There is precedence with Fire Control System and Captain Kagi, as shown in the FAQ:
- If an enemy ship equipped with Fire-Control System is at range to acquire a target lock on Captain Kagi and attacks a ship other than Captain Kagi, the target lock provided by Fire-Control System must be acquired on the defender, not Captain Kagi. If the enemy ship also has Weapons Engineer, its second target lock must be acquired on Captain Kagi.
So, it looks like Dengar overrides Biggs. Thoughts?
EDIT: Also, looks like if I have and use Gunner, that Gunner attack has to be on Biggs.
