FFG really needs to change their release dates and on the boat times. 4-6 weeks for on the boat time, I think only the Tanitive IV has made that time, and maybe the TFA core set because Disney made sure it got to stores on time. Everything else X-wing has been 8+ weeks. I don't trust distributor dates because they are wrong all the time. The distributor told our FLGS Wave 8 would be here 2 weeks ago. I laughed and said they have it mixed up with the Scum restock. Their reply was no we are sure it is Wave 8.

I don't think that FFG has ever given *any* amount of time from when it goes on the boat to when it releases. Any info there is from players based on past releases, and I've always heard 6-8 weeks, not 4-6. I'll agree that FFG is bad at their original estimates (such as the Q4 2015 given for wave 8 when it was announced...)

Wave 8 should be shipping to stores next week. Give them time, customs isn't always easy to get through.

FFG doesn't commit hard to release dates. At best, they provide a three-month window of which quarter they expect to issue it. However, they can't control international shipping times. It's not like they're the ones driving the boat.

If you're hearing a date from a distributor, it's based on unsourced info and rumors. It should be taken with a huge grain of salt.
