I just got my hands on the Decimator. I have chosen to go with Captain Oicunn plus all the obvious upgrades and am now trying to decide who gets to take this big grey lady to the dance.

These are the ships + load outs I am thinking about -

Decimator - Captain Oicunn + Ruthlessness + Ysanne Isard + Mara Jade + Tactical Jammer

Tie Advanced - Darth Vader + Tie/x1 + Advanced Targeting Computer + Juke

Tie/Fo - Epsilon Squad Pilot

This is my favourite squad at the moment. Oicunn does his thing and crashes in to the opposition, supported by the Tie that will hopefully draw some of the fire away from the Deci, while Vader gets in to position to start picking off the priority targets. I know from experience that this Vader load out can be pretty tough to land a hit on so he should hopefully be last man standing.

Another option is -

Decimator as above

Tie/Fo - Epsilon Ace

Tie/Fo - Epsilon Pilot x 2

I'm also thinking of a two ship build with Redline in the Punisher for some long range shooting.

Any of these seem like winners?

That first build with the advance sounds pretty strong. Be interested to hear how you get on if you choose it.

If you take ruthlessness, you want to keep the number of ships in your squad as few as possible (to minimize damaging yourself).

Oicunn won't live long without engine upgrade, so that should be a priority addition (tactical jammer is pointless considering its the decimator you want to protect)

Thanks for the advice mercurial, sadly I haven't got the Falcon so no engine upgrade. I would defiantly have given it to the Decimator otherwise. Just going to have to fly smart so I don't end up having to damage the Tie via Ruthlessness.

I would consider dropping the Tie but my thinking is that every shot it's taking is one less to deal with for the Decimator. And in the end I think that it will be Vader that gets the most work done.
