A Thank you is in order. (Starting to worry update)

By Spaceman91, in X-Wing

As the title says thank you to everyone who gave advice and calming words.

As I said I would, this is the list I took in the end:

Poe + R2-D2 + Autothrusters + VI

Miranda + TLT

Tarn + R7 + IA

As you may have noticed I chickened out and changed to a staple of mine (Tarn).

Before first game:

K-Wing broke, had to borrow a friends. (Thanks again if you see this)

Game 1: Loss

He took Han + Miranda

Tarn took a beating ( That's what he's there for, distraction FTW)

Poe almost unhurt untill.... i broke my golden rule, I 1.didn't double check my dial 2.didn't turn my dial to match facing. I flew him straight off the board.... FULL HEALTH POE!

I'm angry at myself for that.

Game 2: Bye

Game 3: Loss

He took Wedge Wes and keyan.

Started well. Wes went down like he was made of paper but then Wedge (outmanoeuvre + BB8) lined up. Poe folded. No dice, took a crit. He died next turn.

Long story short Miranda removed Wedge and did a fair chunk to Keyan but ultimately she went down to fire power

Game 4: Win

He took Lats (the yv666 ps 5) and Boba.

Nothing fancy to report tbh. My opponents dice went cold after taking Tarn down to a hull. After that he couldn't really do anything.

TL;DR 1w/1b/2l

Good fun had by all. Finished 10th. Came away angry with myself for the Poe cock up but I have a C3PO alt art and some new people met (I'm a bit of an introvert so this is big for me).

So thank you again for the advice. May the force be with all of you and may your dice forever run hot.

Well done you! Ready for the next one?

Glad you had a great day! Like Soontir says, keep it up! The more games you play against varied opponents, themore you learn and the more fun you have!

I will be going to the next one. I decided I don't like Poe VI. I think I'll go back to Predator/Lone Wolf in future if I fly him.

Glad you had fun and met some people. That is the objective to any game so you were successful.

Bad break with the dial. I dont play too much competetive but I've done it in casual games before. Just laugh it off and keep on playing.

It's one of those things. Laughing is all you can do really.

My friend once told me that he was at some tournament and left the board with full FAT DASH because he mistook front and back side when planning. Sith Happens...
