TIE/fo sugestion

I wish the the TIE/fo has a rear firing arc like in the movie.

Note the red paint on the side. It's not a TIE/fo, though it looked it it. It was a TIE/sf.

That is not the fo, it is the TIE/sf. We probably get that one soon and people have theorized how the rear gun will be represented. Rear arc is an idea that I like. Turret upgrade is another one that is a bit controversial. It would give the empire a TLT, which some people want and others are strongly opposed to.

if you give the empire a TLT you can NOT give it an EPT.... TLT's dealing AoE Damage with Ruthlessness is bonkers.

unless its a pilot skill that allows for the equip of an EPT less than 3 points.

The TIE/sf should just have a rear-firing secondary arc. A turret wouldn't be reasonable as it'd need to shoot through the wings to do so.

To echo the thoughts of many, I'm thinking that we may see the TIE/sf and the black alt paintjob T-70 X-wing in an Aces pack, and not separate blisters.

Rear arc probably makes the most sense. It's simple, and it's not over powered. It makes the fighter quite scary by itself, between Sloops and the rear arc. Maybe a crew slot, too?

Rear arc, crew slot, missile that can fire from the rear arc, probably second shield (based on the cross sections/info book). Maybe 20 points for the generic.

Rear arc is likely, probably a special arc that also lets you shoot missiles to the rear. I'm also interested to see what the Mag-Pulse missiles will do. Crew slot is possible, the B-wing E2 is a pilot/gunner setup and has a crew slot.

Apologies for the size. On your left, the TIE/FO as we have it in the game. On your right, the TIE/SF that fires backwards and has two seats (stolen by Poe and Finn in the film)

As you can see, it'll be a separate model at some point.

The rear view is even more telling, it has a big door and window, and the engines are off to the sides.

Meh, I could do without the missile slot. I get it, but it doesn't light my fire. Extra points to get a rear arc is plenty. Maybe a couple of named pilots that abuse that rear arc ("enemy within range 1 of rear arc does something something" etc). The rear arc is enough to make it unique and useful without lumping ordnance and the like on there. Maybe a slightly modified dial compared to the /fo to show off it's potential as strafing unit, like green 3-banks, or a 5K (or a disgustingly useful 1-Sloop).

You mean like the Royal Guard Interceptor? ;)

Neither the k wings main turret or it's secondary have clear los all around yet they still get to fire 360.

Game mechanics>lore.

Thank you for the feed back. I did not realize that the TIE Poe and Finn stole was a TIE/sf

The Resistance also fights TIE/sfs in the scene where the T-70s come in over the water. You can see them fire backwards a few times, and note how they're operating without a nearby Star Destroyer. The sf has a hyperspace drive!

I just wookiepedia-ed it. It is a huge advancement over the cannon fodder the empire put out.

Now, what if the "turret" could only fire forward and backward due to the wings obstructing fire? It would be bad if it ended up like Henry Jones Sr. plane tail.
