Dengar was said to be the rival, if not better, of Han Solo at swoop racing. It's lead to believe that in the Legends (which Xwing pulls from) that Dengar is the best pilot of the Bounty Hunter crew.
In Boba Fett trilogy on multiple occasions he is amazed by Boba's piloting skills.

But yea he is AT LEAST a bit justified to be an ace. Deepend what time of his life we look at: medicore before/right after meeting Boba or much later Thrawn/Dark Empire era. Cause he honed his skills during that period.
Dengar is supposed to be evil Han Solo, more or less. Besides if we should complain about anything it should be the unfair representation of PS 9s, too many come from Corellia (Wedge, Han, Fel, Dengar). Its obvious FFG is biased or being Bribed by Corellians!
I suspect a wave of 4 - 2 scum, 1 rebel and 1 imperial.
Scum could be just about anything. A lok revenants release theme with the havoc and either the sigil or freefall could be possible, but so could anything really.
Ffgs own rebel stealth fighter from the rpg would be my pick for rebels.
For imperials I'm hoping to see a large fairly agile patrol boat (imperial customs) or the tie/sf.

In the case of the Imperial troop lander, sure - it has no guns to speak of (one anti-personnel one only), BUT the Rebel one has proper guns/cannon. It's as viable as the Lambda was/is. "Shuttle" for Rebels? Yes please.That's the problem. There's only a handful of ships, and only a couple of them fit this game (I can't see troop landers being the new meta, somehow).

However, the First Order Troop Lander does have a turret. And The Force Awakens showed several stormtroopers inflicting a crit on Poe's x-wing, so IS viable. Both the resistance and first order lander are SMALL bases. The Force Awakens incredible cross sections book puts them just as long, or as wide as, a y-wing is long. This could mean, for each, two crew on a small ship - offering all kinds of inferesting tactics. The First Order lander would also be dirt cheap, hell, give it a 1 die PWT and no turret upgrade and i would be happy with it carrying a fleet officer.

Templates stay Im use with special dials, Kturns are replaced with a straight move with 90 degree turn 'drift' - no shooting, red dice represent ramming power, green dice stay as evades (roll when your ship overlaps).... I want this!!!

I think it makes sense because they're both unique, very slight variants, so you'd probably only want one of each.

You could probably get away with a "First Order Aces" pack with the Upsilon-class Shuttle and the TIE/sf in it as well.
This weekend is the NY toy fair and they released 2 Lego sets that are both ships from what looks like an upcoming TV show. I'm not sure if the links are allowed here so do a quick google of the Eclipse and Star Scavenger. 2 new ships being brought into canon. And to make things even better, DENGAR is included with one of the sets
