Picked up both the Smuggler and the bantha last night. Smuggler seems fine though the way he holds the gun seems cockeyed to me but it measures out with the picture so I am fine with it. The Bantha looks cool though the base has some warping but that's just running it under hot water to flex it flat. Not to thrilled the body pieces aren't glued in but it isn't a deal breaker. Hefty piece of plastic. over all happy with both figures. Now if I just had the desire to paint.. ugh....
My Bantha Rider is an absolute mess. So much plastic I have to trim
I think mine missed the quality control inspection or didn't get a sanding after removal from the mold. It will take me longer to clean up the piece than it will to paint.
Maybe these issues have something to do with the delay?

Had a mini heart attack when I opened mine and its head fell off ![]()
Paint the head before you glue it back on?
Edit: for those who have painted it. How hard was painting? Are there any hard to reach places with the brush? Like behind the horns?

I painted the individual pieces first before gluing them together. Specifically, I did all of inside the mouth (base coat, wash, highlights), and pretty much a base coat of everything else plus a wash before assembling the model. When assembled there are some really hard to reach areas, like you say, behind the horns and tail. I did highlights etc afterwards so that I could achieve some sort of consistency across the model and figured that any hard to reach areas would probably be shadowed anyway.
I've just ordered my Bantha and smuggler, and they should be with me here in China on March 8-10.
The only packs I am missing are Han, Chewie and Boba. Any idea on when they will come back into circulation?
Just got my bantha and wow it does not disappoint! I actually like that it comes in an unglued state, as it gives more options for prep and paint. Well worth the wait!
I got my Bantha Rider and Smuggler yesterday. The butt of the rifle is broke off, so what is the best glue to use with this type of plastic?

Any super glue would work but the bond would be pretty fragile. I'd probably drill a hole in both the stock and rifle and use super glue/wire to stabilize it
Edited by tocinoFinally got mine today.
That bantha looks like my college room-mate

Nope, always make sure to read the component limitations section on the expansion sheet.
One deployment card = one bantha only for campaign play.
I picked up two banthas and one of them was headless. The shop said they usually just have the customer deal with FFG but I cut the package open at the shop so they let me exchange it there.
