I think I prefer Vessery [HLC, VI] over Rexler in this situation.

Same PS but more damage. If you don't care about PS8 vs PS6 (matters against Brobots and Superdash), then you could drop the mk2 engines and fit Outmaneuver on Vess instead.

I think it might be worth it to have Fleet Officer on the Decimator. The reason being Brath could use an extra Focus so he can use his pilot ability. I'm assuming his ability is part of the reason you picked him. Just my 2 cents, good luck!

Just to capitalize on Oicunn's ability I would like to point out that the Ion Projector is worded: "After an enemy ship executes a maneuver that causes it to overlap your ship, roll 1 attack die. On a {boom} or {kaboom} result, the enemy ship receives 1 ion token." This means you roll the attack die, so if you had Palpatine out there you could ensure that a ship that collides with you will be stuck colliding with you so you can kill it just by overlapping its base every subsequent turn (provided it is a small based ship).

Seriously playing Defender without titles is just....well...i love them, i tried them, i dismissed them. Why? The quality to price ratio: you pay almost 40 points for ship well that looks awesome on paper but when you start playing it, it lacks....something hard even to tell what. Maybe with Palpatine to modify defender greens freeing focus for attack...dunno. My Defender is just waiting for his red counterpart and titles.

Second thing i don't like your decimator setup. Well i know what was the plan here but its just to costly for me considering what it can do. You have no emperor to ensure those Ion Projectors will work. You have a bomb you cannot drop cause you will try to smash ppl in the face. You have Ysanne while in you plan to be in range 1 anyway...

naahh dont like it: if you want this Oicunn build go for: Oicunn,Palpi, Ion Projectors.

Here you go. Just make your opponent bump you once then you take 1 straight to smash him, he is ioned and smashes you, palpi makes sure he will get ioned again. Rince and repead while shooting turred all around. And by getting rid of Mara you have points for Predator.
