To me it seems like a great idea. Particularly if you've got the points to put R2D2 on him so you don't have to save that Focus till the End Phase. I know you are risking some lower PS shots getting through. But.....
What do you think of Calculation on Poe?
Eh, I feel like Vet Instincts, Wired, or Crackshot all provide better returns for the same investment, and don't require Poe spending his token outright to activate. I love Calculation in general but Poe can get more out of other options.
Poe wants to keep his Focus, so why give him something that would use it? That's also why I think the other Focus regen droid would be better.
I've also been thinking that VI Poe is best with all the PS 9 guys out there. I don't normally play Rebels, though, but it's what I'd do.
If you are going to be spending points on something that spends a token you should look at Weapons Guidance. Being able to turn hit,blank, eyeball into three hits is kind of nice.

If you've got the two points it's absolutely worth it for the few times you have a shot and they don't, or you might be able to PS kill something before it fires back.
