Guys, did you realise that it's now been twelve years since the last wave was announced? I think FFG have given up on the game. Oh well, it's a shame they left it in such a state, with an OP Ackbar, rubbish Raiders that are literally a detriment to any fleet to which they're added, except that it's fine because I have this weird, Derren-Brown-like ability to look at dates on articles, and it turns out that X-Wing was actually on a 20-year wave cycle, so we're all over-reacting. But what FFG really need to do is give us the ability to just buy the upgrade cards we want for free, otherwise they're terrible businesspeople and also inhumane.

But Resurgent-class is hoog like XBox, can't we get some more medium ships? I'm fed up of the VSD being my only god **** cruiser, even though it doesn't cruise anywhere, it just lists lazily towards its destination.
Basically, if FFG don't give me a medium-size Imperial cruiser that's Speed 3 with dash-click-click, I'm going to formally complain. They need to complete the set!

My concern about the Resurgent is that anything more powerful than an ISD is likely to one shot almost every small ship it comes across, which could push them out of the game.

What I really want to see in Wave 3 is a fighter pack containing the Sun Crusher - infinite hitpoints, ability to blow up the star by launching a torpedo out of the tiny satellite dish at its bottom tip, ending the game... permanently. You have to microwave your fleet after that, to represent the fact that they all got blown up by the exploding sun.
That, or a third faction - the Yuuzhan Vong. Yeah, definitely.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Mandalorian faction. I know it's not EU valid, but that's OK. I think it would make a decently plausible faction (able to field a few Heavy cruisers, which is all you need at Armada's scale) and cool enough to have general appeal.
