Colour me skeptical.
Giving up your actions for a turn (and being predictable with greens for two) just for a solid alpha strike doesn't strike me as a good deal. Yes you have wired, but no barrel roll and cannot k-turn for two turns after? You're just making it easy on your opponent to get behind you and take out a ship or two. At least that's how it seems to me...

I think it would be better to capitalize on the re-rolls while you have them with 5 Crack Shot upgrades instead. .

I think the point Magnus is making is that Epsilon Leader might not be necessary if you can take advantage of the stress somehow. Wired being the choice here.

Yes, but you only need one stress for that. I was thinking more mileage from the ships overall, by being able to get stress back down faster to capitalize on actions. That was my rationale, at least.
In not sure it's that bad honestly. I think it's got a higher learning but wired is useful in its own right with those beautiful s-loops and if timed right rage will be devastating.
Edit- no coffee just realize no s loops. Crack is preferable then.
