You can't perform red maneuvers while stressed. Further, if you reveal a red maneuver while stressed, you hand your dial to your opponent and allow them to select a legal move for your ship to perform.

So, while it is legal to use Advanced Sensors and Push the Limit before revealing a red maneuver, it is generally a terrible, terrible idea.

As said above ,the answer is yes you can, it just has potentially disastrous consequences.

Red maneuvers while you have Stress can never happen unless you have something that specifically allows it (doesn't one of the new pilots allow this?) or something which makes your red maneuver something else (Adrenaline Rush plus certain other things).

The reason you may see PtL and Advanced Sensors together is typically because you get the chance at taking two actions before you reveal your dial. As you're seeing here revealing a Red maneuver after picking up the PtL stress is very bad but if you instead reveal a Green maneuver you can immediately clear that stress you just picked up. The AS alone allows you to take an action before your maneuver where the maneuver could leave you unable to perform Actions but PtL doesn't help that situation.

There is an instance in which it's a good idea to hand the dial to your opponent; when the chosen red maneuver is a TERRIBLE idea.

The red Stop is the most likely maneuver to cause this.
