Dangerous Territory Question

By Vogons, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

I have recent found I was wrong in my interpretation of superior positions so I'm going to make sure I have this right.

With Dangerous territory it says put a token on each obstacle. The first ship to overlap the obstacle gets the victory token. I assume that ships take normal collision damage at that time. The card then says craft who later overlap this obstacle have no effect. To me that means that obstacle only acts to obstruct after the token is taken.

I can see how this would be interesting if I have it right. If you send a fast, little ship to get token it dies after the 2nd or 3rd token from collisions. Likewise ships in pursuit don't have to dodge the obstacles

The Pertinent part of the card:

Special Rule: When a ship overlaps an obstacle, the ship's owner may remove the objective token on that obstacle to gain 1 victory token.

When one of the second player's ships overlaps an asteroid field or debris field, that obstacle has no effect.

That's not the case at all.

You Hit the Obstacle. You Suffer the Effect of said Obstacle... And you get the Token.

However, if you are the Second Player , as defined in Initiative, and not the second person to do it, and it happens to be an Asteroid or Debris Field, you ignore the Damage you take from doing so (Normally 2 to one Zone, or 1 Faceup card).

However, even for Player 2, the Station still has its positive effect.
