So Saturday is a local store championship. Im really looking forward to it but now only a dayish away I'm worried that I have completely the wrong list. I tried it on Tuesday and it went 1W/1L. The loss was me being too eager to get stuck in and messing up really badly (Miranda had 1 hull left after turn 1).

So I'm mainly looking at people to tell me to stop worrying like a muppet.

The list is nothing flashy (Read as dull) but I wanted it to be resilient (you can give advice if you like)

Poe + VI + R5-P9

Miranda + TLT

Garven + R2-D2

I don't think you'll have any particular troubles with the list itself. I'm no expert but it seems solid and you will just need to make sure you fly well on the day.

I declared Slam and as soon as I had the template in my hand I knew I had messed up. Pull in to range of dash and Corran.

Even if you don't change anything else, you might want to see if you can get your hands on a couple of copies of Integrated Astromech. That should beef up your X-Wings a bit.

They are free, they fill a slot you aren't using, and are kind of better than a shield upgrade.

The above lists have sound advice for your list.

As for your jitters- that's normal. Is this your first tournament? My biggest advice? Go and have fun. Fly casual. Be a good sport and thank each opponent for the game whether you win or lose. Remember it's a game, you should enjoy it. If you place high enough to get some swag, that's great, but really the best thing up for grabs this Store Championship season is C-3PO, and you get him just for showing up.

Town called Reading

Tactician on miranda is quite nice for Justa control build. Even if it doesnt trigger it alters the way your opponent plays against you.

I have one sat too... Corran and Dash are tough.... Don't be discouraged....flown well they are beastly.

Just go and have fun...sometimes overthinking your list will drive you nuts!!!! I know list lock has gotten me a number of times.

A couple of games is not nearly enough to gauge how effective a list is. Fly what you know!

stick with what you know. sometimes the dice don't roll your way sometimes they do. "Think long..think wrong" relax and have fun.

If you aren't going to use C3PO and Auto, at least give both Xs the Integrated Astromech??? PLEASE?

Just borrow it from a friend? Buy two T-70s? You get 2 more hull for literally 0 points.

Otherwise, as they said, the astro that gives you an EPT, take VI, pass Focus to Miranda before firing. Then use the extra 2 points to give Poe Autothrusters. And buy one T-70 expo to get the Integrated Astro on Garvin.

If this is what you know, and what you're comfy flying, stick with it. But ADD THOSE.

The Store Championship I won I went into trying to win, yet I knew even if I didn't win I would get a bunch of games in with my then prototype list and get a bunch of practice and ideas on how to tweak the list.

If you lose round one, don't get discouraged. Losing round one enables you to get matched against people who likely aren't good and lost round one. In other words, you get to club baby seals all day.

So, either you win a game and that's great.

You lose round one and can climb to the top on a pile of noobs clutching expose or marksmanship cards. The blood of the innocent, yessssssss. *rubs blood over torso and shivers*

Regardless of whether or not you win you still get practice, and you still can find errors in the list.
