Mauler Mithel & Wampa

By Junjie2, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Mauler Mithel: "When attacking at Range 1, roll 1 additional attack die."

Does this take into account the fact that there is already a range combat bonus? So if I'm in range 1, I am rolling 4 dice?

Wampa: "If you cancel a critical result, deal 1 facedown Damage card to the defender."

Does this work with multiple crits? If I roll 2 critical results and cancel all my dice, do I give 1 facedown Damage or 2 facedown Damage?

Mauler rolls 4 dice at Range 1.

Wampa is a binary condition - you either cancel at least one crit, or you don't. He will only ever deal one face-down damage card from his attack.

Mauler Mithel at Range 1 = 4 dice.

Wampa: Once per opportunity, so only deals 1 facedown Damage card in total. It's not 1 per critical result cancelled.

1: it does exactly what it says it does, and says nothign about invalidating the ranged combat bonus. You roll 4 dice at r1.

2: 1 damage card. 2 would be 'for each kaboom result you cancel, deal a facedown damage card' and would be super OP.

E: Soontirs are too quick for me.
