And we thought Esege was broken in Epic...

By chilligan, in X-Wing

I was initially excited about the prospect of Zuckuss on a Scum epic ship, but the wording and order of operations on the card suggests to me that it doesn't work if you can't take the stress.

Focus, evade, and stress tokens do not affect huge ships. When a huge ship receives any of these tokens, immediately remove them and return them to the token supply.

Huge ships can take stress tokens, they just discard them instantly. At least that's my understanding, and why Zuckuss will work with RAW. Whether or not they FAQ it, that remains to be seen. At this point I'm not sure I can say whether or not it's broken, because Imperial and Rebel faction both have things which go over the top in Epic: Esege, Han Solo crew, Jonus, Tarkin.

I think the Star Jewel is appropriately scummy - it's a heavily armed liner rather than a warship; somewhere between Tantive and Gozanti in function, and is essentially a spacegoing version of the sail barge.

Things that would be good to see:

  • Alternate Scyk and/or Headhunter pilots, possible Scyk-specific modification
  • Jabba crew card (surely a 2-slot card if only because he's so **** fat).
  • Hondo crew card (because everyone needs a Weequay Jack Sparrow clone)

And for the LULZ

give jewel Turret upgrades, not Hardpoints >:}

The problem is that the Jewel historically carried turbolasers, so it should have hardpoints.

At the same time, you could conceivably produce a 'point defence' modification that lets you equip turrets to hardpoints, in a similar fashion to ordnance tubes, and assign an energy cost to fire them (but, say, 1 point of energy to fire all turrets)

HAHA....OK....so maybe the Hutts have fleets! You got me.

I wouldn't think the Mandalorians would be considered S&V, though. Well, Deathwatch, but the rest of them don't seem to be that way.

I was thinking, you probably could have a pirate ship that would be pretty cool. Something with lots of offensive firepower and not much defense. I would think it would use Ion Batteries a lot to disable ships for boarding. Pirates either stun you and board or stun you and threaten to blast you. You have to stop them from running away.

In the novel Tarkin, there is that local crime boss that has a heavily armed ship....for a civilian ship. It wasn't up to military grade, but it was beefed up. I can see things like that.
