Cash rewards

By Petrus81, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

How are you handling cash rewards? What cash ranges do you usually give out for shorter one night missions?

Our Storyteller have had some trouble with this and the only good info we have found so far is in the Fly Casual book with smuggling payouts. Are there other charts like these or do you guys have any good rule of thumb?

It's difficult to answer this question without knowing what the GM makes you pay for. Food? Clothing? Hotels? Fuel?

On average, my players get paid about 800 credits each session, but they don't receive payment until the job is done.

Also, I don't worry about all the nifty stuff they purchase...

Keeps looting to an absolute minimum.

I like to starve my players. That came out kind of evil.

Rather I like to keep credits low. I restrict shopkeepers' inventories, usually assigning a given shopkeeper in the adventure area a set Rarity level of goods they can get ahold of.

As a GM, I find I can better control the power creep and pace of my games by rewarding the party with specific items. So completing that adventure might reward a Heavy Blaster Pistol with a sight, or a crate of death sticks.

Say what you want about Phantom Menace, but Watto refusing Republic credits makes a lot of sense to me.
