Help! Some questions in Core Set

By Matrix3301, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

1. May I use two or more location cards to lower one card's cost?

For Example: I am act Baratheon, and I have 2 "Stormlands Fiefdoms" and 1 "Narrow Sea" in Play. Now, It's my marshalling turn, I want to play "Host of Storm's End" that cost is 5. May I kneel 2 "Stormlands Fiefdoms" lower 2 gold and discard "Narrow Sea" lower 2 gold for this character card? So, I just pay 1 gold to play this card form my hand. is right?

2. "Winter is Coming" (S156) , how to understand "each" in the card's text?

In the text, "Challenges: Raise the Claim value on each Stark player's revealed plot card by 1 for the duration of the challenge." I can't understand why use "each" on here? I remember, in the game just only one Stark Player, no player can play same house in the same game. And just only one revealed plot card, because plot card have 3 different status: unused (plot card deck), used and revealed(current), however revealed always one card. So I have little confuse on this card's ability.

3. Attached "Poisoned Wine"(T101) card, who kneel 1 influence to move to new target?

If "Poisoned Wine" have attached to character card, who kneel 1 influence to move to another card? the "Poisoned Wine" original owner player or be attached palyer?

Thanks for your help.

1. Yes, you can.

2. Stark vs Stark is possible. If Winter is Coming is played, both Stark characters will see their claim raised by one for the duration of that challenge.

3. The controller of the card can use the ability. The controller of the card tends to be the owner of the card (unless someone takes control of Poisoned Wine with Compelled by the Rock, for instance)

Additional detail:

1. Remember that the use of each Fiefdom and the Sea are separate actions. Your opponent can do things between each reducer you activate. However, since each reducer says that it lowers the cost on the "next" card you play, the reducers will all be added together and applied to that "next" card.

2. With the Core Set alone, you are not likely to ever see 2 Stark players since there is only 1 Stark deck. But if two people combine Core Sets, you could have 2 Stark players in the same game. So it is possible that if Stark Player #1 is attacking a Baratheon player, Stark Player #2 could play this card to increase the claim the Baratheon player has to deal with. It could be a good play if hurting the Baratheon player is more important than helping the other Stark player.

3. Only the controller of a card can trigger an ability on that card. That can be a little confusing with attachments because the controller of the attachment card , not the owner of the character it is attached to, is the one who gets to trigger the effects.
