The more new ships that are released the better these ships become above is my first combo I love Palob he just takes everything from you

Interesting but I think without recon spec you may have a hard time getting enough of a focus stack to make Palob's blaster turret very effective. Have you considered Dorsal turret as a cheaper alternative?

I played him without Recon most of the time I just run the ships away and build up the stack before combat and steal as many as I can. I have often found when I take recon he die's with a big stack of them. for some reason people always shoot him first.

the trouble with Dorsal is the 2 attack die at range 2. while Blaster costs a focus It has a higher chance of hitting with 3 dice

Fair enough, you are right that you do hit harder with the Blaster Turret, but it also saves you that focus which might mean your focus is available to modify your attack die or keeps the focus handy for defence. This list definitely would benefit from a couple of turns before the engagement, to stack tokens. But I'm not sure it has what it takes to stop an opponent from trying to bum rush you.

Pff, the Manaroo Mind Link combo looks to be fun. +3 Focus tokens a turn, sign me up.

Also, a red 3 bank on a mind linked HWK would stress the whole network!

It only gives you a focus if you don't have one, so it doesn't work that well with the Moldy Crow.

Manaroo + a Moldy Crow would be awesome if Scum had anyone with a lower (or equal) PS than her that also had an EPT. As it is, it's still pretty good. She takes a focus action, if it's the first round the Crow gets 1 token. The Crow then takes a focus action. At the start of combat Manaroo gives her tokens to the Crow and Mindlink gives her back a focus.

That's 3 tokens in the Crow bank the first round and two a round after that. If Manaroo and the Crow both had Recon Spec, the Crow would get 5 tokens the first round and 4 each round after that.

Oh, I see! Got it.

I have a friend that likes HWKs and has even done decent with Stealth Device on HWKs. He says it's nuts, but there are often times people just can't hit for a while against it. So, for him, I thought of this build:

Palob

- Stealth Device

- TLT

- Elusive

- Mouldy Crow

- Dengar

Should have a stack of Focus by the time you get into the fight. Action each turn should be Focus b/c TL is pointless. Grab another Focus or even Evade from nearby enemy. Get 3 green dice for defense w/ Focus. Use Elusive to turn their shot into eyeball....used on the one that you stole their Focus. You get to re-roll 2 dice vs. aces on each TLT shot and probably have enough Focus to use on both dice.

Of course

It has nowhere to go but up :P

Except for Rebels...

If rebels got Mindlink, there would be free evde+focus just fromKyle+Ors HWK т_т

Rebels got TLT andake far more effective use with r 1-3 friendly abilities versus sc's r 1-2 targeting enemies

I think you are getting Elusiveness and Sensor Jammer mixed up.

"When defending, you may receive 1 stress token to choose 1 attack die. The attacker must reroll that die.
If you have at least 1 stress token, you cannot use this ability."

I've been meaning to try stealth on palob I just can't squeeze it and I'm not sure its necessary honestly. I have recently used cool hand though and it's been awesome. Hwks are much better than they get credit for, well palob anyway.

Rebels got TLT

And scum don't ?!

This could be a fun Palob to try:

Palob Godalhi (20)
Opportunist (4)
Dorsal Turret (3)
Dengar (3)
Total: 30
There's room to put the Moldy Crow title on there for three more points, but I'm trying to keep him lean and mean.

Ahh...thanks. Yes, I was confused, but it does still work. It's insanely expensive, but might actually work if done right.

For the same two points and a stress, I'd be tempted to take Expert Handling instead. That lets Palob adjust his range a bit and denying Target Locks is probably better defensively than taking a stress for a 50% chance of making damage go away.

Haven't explored the spoiled cards from yesterday too much but my go to before that was TLT + Bossk + Moldy Crow, usually on Torkil. I also like TLT + Wired + Zuckuss if I'm running Palob. The Mindlink jumps out at me as useful on Palob to steal a focus and effectively turn it into multiple.

That's hilarious. Manaroo's Moldy Focus Factory.

I can't even begin to imagine trying to explain it mid-game to someone who's never seen the cards before...

Just to make things interesting bring along Kaa'to and after Manaroo blasts a bunch of focus over to the Crow and then gets one back, Kaa'to steals it from her but it is instantly replaced. I'm relatively certain that someone that has never seen the cards will call BS on you.

Manaroo, shows the scum Faction that sharing is caring.

And, AND, as long as the Crow has Foci banked, all your ships can be stressed or otherwise actionless and Kaa'To can steal one at the start of combat to pass them around again.
