How does that work?

So the green starts unstressed. Then does a maneuver, still unstressed. Rages, 2 stress. Experimental interface to DD, 2 more stress. Executes a white, -1 stress. Then next turn does a green, -1 stress. Still two on the ship. Am I missing something?

It would be terrible, but Rage Squadron as I call it with four A-wings each with Rage+Wingman would in theory work.

You mean 5? 19 -2 +1 +2 = 20. That said, I would think that 5 Greens w/ PTL would be better. F+TL is just as good as rage for an A wing. PTL only costs 1 stress, but 2 points more... But if you're putting on Wingman to clear that second stress for 2 points, you may as well just use PTL and get the flexibility of any 2 actions you want.

However against higher PS it might be harder to get that TL, so rerolls would be easier with Rage and you have complete target freedom. No more lost TLs

Well... I was married to him for a year. And it took a hiatus from X wing, and an exploration in Scum to get me to play something else. And now I'm back on Tycho. =P

Does Rage work with Jake Farrell? He preforms free actions but even free actions are not allowed when stressed.

It seems to me that stress "Assign 1 focus token to your ship and receive 2 stress tokens" happens all at once.

It should work with Jake. Assign 1 focus token to your ship <INTERRUPT> After you perform a focus action or are assigned a focus token, you may perform a free boost or barrel roll action. </INTERRUPT> and receive 2 stress tokens.

Does Rage work with Jake Farrell?

As its all in one sentence, its a timing issue that is likely needing an FAQ.

For a definite "No", the sentence would be ordered "Assign 2 stress tokens and a Focus token..."

​For a definite "Yes", it would be slightly longer, with a sentence break and a "Then" included.

​As "Rage" is a fairly wordy card, I'm inclined to think that it does work, but I await an FAQ.

Still, its not like Jake wants to use a card that slaps him with 2 stress, so its a bit of a corner case.

I'm reconsidering Rage on Tycho. Because it appears you get: a focus, you get up to 3 dice re-roll, add PLT you can get an evade token. With Autothrusters range three or outside of a firing arc change a blank to an evade. So range one 3 dice attack + 3dice reroll for offense, defense gets a 3 dice roll 4 at range 3 + a evade token from PLT + turn a blank to evade if conditions are right for At + a focus token that initiated Rage. Sounds like a good deal.

Negatives : 3 stress tokens, no daredevil... So it takes two turns to turn around. I suppose weighing it out.... It's definitely worth trying on the gaming table. Change my count to in on Tycho with rage.

PtL, but yes. There's no downside on Tycho. It's a better TL+focus for one action.

I'm curious to try 5 green squadron As with Rage and wingman. Rage every turn.

Dumb idea, but what about Jake with rage? He gets 3 actions at the cost of 2 stress so he is gonna have to gun it after the fact but I think you could get some cool shots with it. Combine with wired for defense or VI and you get a fun little burst fire ship

Not as good as PTL on him, which nets him 3 actions at the cost of 1 stress, though it is a viable options at 2 points cheaper.
