Hi there,
I recently statred bought myself Arkham Horror, and I'm now starting to come to terms of ALL the rules. The one rule I'm currently struggling the most with says: "Unlike a normal battle, the Ancient One cannot be defeated in a single attack. Instead, keep track of every success an investigator scores against the Ancient One. These successes are cumulative, and each successive player adds to them with his own attack. When the players accumulate a total number of successes equal to the number of players (including any players that were eliminated from the game), remove one doom token from the Ancient One’s doom track and reset their cumulative successes to zero"
Does this mean that:
- If it is a 1 player game, and I throw 3 successes, I still only remove 1 doom token,
- If it is a 2 player game, and we throw 4 successes in total (e.g. I throw 1 success and my buddy throws 3 successes), we only remove 1 doom token.
OR does it mean that:
- If it is a 1 player game, and I throw 3 successes, I remove 3 doom tokens,
- If it is a 2 player game, and we throw 4 successes in total, we remove 2 doom tokens.
Thanks.
