Sometimes I just want to re-live buying my core and first few expansions oh-so long ago. Before I understood how everything worked, or where to get information on upgrades, or even before it was easy to find with a google search.
I love the game, but THAT was true happiness, adventuring into the unknown in a world where knowledge is a search-engine away.
I'd gladly remain blissfully aware nowadays, but then I'll be behind in the tournament seasons immediately after release, or in the Vassal league.

In all fairness, it would only be a blind buy until the first person unboxes one and posts the contents to Reddit or Facebook. After that, everyone else can make informed purchases as the contents are exactly the same for all players, and we already know the Jumpmaster's pilots aside from the generic cost.

I agree with ya Phild0. There is a sense of Christmas day wonder that comes with opening something which you have no clear idea about what exactly it contains. Unfortunately, in this day and age we live in, these times are pretty much a thing of the past. We ALMOST got that beautiful sense of wonder with the new core set, but alas, we all wanted to be spoiled, even if we really didn't...

Because they fear someone else getting a model out first ever since the chapter house court case they lost.
It's why they changed all the names and ditched fantasy because it was too generic to sue over.
