Apart from the Scyk there's nothing I'm not interested in. I don't always feel the need to buy it though, especially the small ships are great for birthdays and Christmas presents.
.
Which ship/ expansion can you do without 2.0
I play all factions but lean heavily imperial and while I'll probably eventually fill out 1 of everything the decimator just doesn't interest me very much. That might be blasphemous but I said it.

Extra debris clouds!
The Scyk is probably the only ship I've bought that I never (rarely) use and didn't have other upgrades I wanted. I thought I'd use Serissu and the 4 HLC list was intriguing to me, up until I played it. (Yes, I own 4 Scyk's).
Tie Bomber - I love this ship, but it doesn't make competitive play for me. 5x Bombers with Howlrunner is a pretty tough swarm, at least until tie/FOs came in and did the same kind of thing better.
Some ships I bought and only use the unique upgrades...
Star Viper - Autothrusters being the most obvious one
I want ALL of the expansions. I will admit as of right now, most non-imperial expansions will have to wait. I have a relatively small collection, and most of the upgrades and ships I want to build my forces are imperial.
It doesn't help that I'm into Epic Play and have numerous 200 points squadrons planned. I'm planning on working out proxies asap. Of all the cards I'm currently proxying, only two are not available in Imperial expansions that I planned on buying anyway. They are another Proximity Mines (Slave 1 / IG-2000 (I don't have need of another Slave 1 so I may get the IG)) and a third copy of Autothrusters (gotta have those TIE Interceptors in tip top shape).
Just out of curiosity, I ran through all the expansions really quick looking for the most important cards that you might miss if you didn't have that expansion, or might push you to buy that expansion even if you don't mind missing out on the ship itself. This means that some expansions like the decimator, which comes with lots of good cards that are mostly used on the decimator itself, are labeled as skippable. I also tried to limit pilot card mentions unless the ship is available in multiple expansions that make it possible to own the ship but miss out on pilots. Opinions may vary, I probably missed some stuff, and obviously skipping out on all the potentially skippable expansions will probably leave you missing out on some important utility cards and/or ships to build good squadrons with. Some cards listed are available in various expansions but I still mentioned them just as a potential selling point for the expansion depending on what else you have or don't have in your collection.
Core: Biggs, Luke, Dark Curse, R2-D2. Kind of skippable other than maybe R2-D2 and the general gameplay components
TFA Core: Poe Dameron pilot card, new damage deck
A-Wing - Tycho Celchu, Push the limit
B-Wing: Fire Control System
E-Wing: Adv Sensors
HWK: skippable
K-Wing: twin laser turret, extra munitions
Millennium Falcon: Chwbacca crew, nien Nunb crew, veteran instincts, engine upgrade
Rebel Aces: mandatory for a-wings, b-wing crew
Rebel Transport: stress droid, otherwise skippable
T-70 X-wing: integrated astromech, semi-required for T-65 X-wings
Tantive IV: skippable
X-wing: Wedge pilot card, otherwise skippable
Y-Wing: R2 astromech, otherwise skippable
Z-95: skippable
Hound's Tooth: crack shot, glitterstim, engine upgrade
IG-2000: skippable
Khirax: crack shot, glitterstim, predator
M3-A interceptor: skippable
Most Wanted: almost essential core for the scum faction, BTL-A4 title for Y-wing
Star Viper: accuracy corrector, autothrusters- mandatory for TIE Interceptors, A-wing aces, and others
Imperial Aces: Royal Guard title, Carnor Jax
Imperial Assault Carrier: skippable
Imperial Raider: mandatory for flying TIE advanced, title + adv targeting computer
lambda shuttle: rebel captive, advanced sensors, sensor jammer
Slave I: Gunner, Veteran Instincts
TIE Advanced: only good for Darth vader pilot card
TIE Bomber: skippable
TIE Defender: predator
TIE Fighter: skippable, howlrunner and backstabber are the only notable cards
TIE Interceptor: only good for Soontir Fel pilot card
TIE Phantom: Tactician, otherwise skippable
TIE Punisher: Extra munitions, engine mk2 - skippable if you don't run TIE Defenders or bomber-type ships
TIE/fo: juke, otherwise skippable
Decimator: skippable
feel free to comment if you think I missed something, or even if you think I am 100% wrong ![]()
Punishing One--Ugly and more nonsensical than the offset cockpits of the YT series. Again, I am sure the ship and upgrades will be great. But for me, not worth it.
Well poo. After looking at the preview, I may need to get this one after all. Too many goodies for Scum ( as well as other factions).

one?
I'm basically obliged to get 3, now that the generic Pilot is 25 points and the generic torpedo boat jumpmaster is 33 (imperial bounty hunter status!)

Edited by ficklegreendiceThe Puniest One. I know everybody's going crazy over all the new upgrade cards but it's the same ol' half-tricks from S&V that seem great in some hypothetical build but don't pan out when ships hit the table and it's time to execute. FFG is really pulling one over on everybody w/ Scum in general.
Scummy talking about FFG being scummy with scum
hmmm....an elaborate ruse, no doubt!
