I can't figure out WHEN is the right time to drop a bomb.... Before a move it after? It doesn't say its an ACTION... It doesn't specify at what phase...

if it detonates because someone overlapped it, it's an action to lay.

if it detonates on its own at the end of the action phase, you lay it when you reveal your dial (so, before you move that round).

Yes.... as the cards state, "When you reveal your maneuver dial, you may discard this card to drop". That literally means, after you flip your dial over, and before you move the ship. I can see how that might be confusing to those new to the game.

You drop bomb when you want things to go boom boom and then you fly away. Mines require a more affirmative action to drop in the path of the guy you want boom boom

If the bomb doesn't have the Action heading on its card, you drop it when you reveal your dial. If it does have the Action heading on its card, you drop it as your action for that round.

A good rule of thumb is that low PS ships generally want Action bombs as they'll move before the high PS aces, so you'll be able to position yourself to drop the bomb in their path; and high PS ships want the bombs you drop when you reveal a dial, as it's likely almost everyone else has moved and so you know if it's worth dropping one.

I play echo and don't care none. Echo is awesome sauce on a biscuit. Even with the decloak change. It's just. So good. At least while having cocktails. I might bring a flask to the next store champs. . just missed top 8 at the last one with soontir, carnor and Vader. ....I think whiskey plus echo will get me there at the next one.

It may get you there but you'll need someone to get you home.

I have a hard time flying Echo while sober. Maybe that's my problem.

So if your ioned' You don't reveal your maneuver dial, so you cannot drop a bomb, right?

I do not see where it say after revealing a dial. It just says place the 1 template between the rear guides of your ship. but players tell me you cannot drop a bomb if Ion'ed.

My understanding is that you cannot drop a bomb when ioned because you do not reveal a maneuver dial when ioned. However, if memory serves, you still get to take your action, so a bomb that has action in the header should be able to be dropped after you do your 1 straight, I believe
