I'm fairly new only been playing x-wing about 6 months now and started with Imperial and I have now branched out to Rebels, but I also want to start a Scum List I just bought the StarViper because I really like the ship and think it has a lot of untapped potential that I'm gonna try to unleash

I like Guri with

-Autothrusters

-Virago title

-PtL

-Fire Control Systems

And maybe the Hot Shot Blaster

But I want to see what would work with it and have good synergy. I like the IG-2000, and wonder if it would make a good pair with Guri, any thoughts of what to run or other lists to try out, thanks for any help

Unfortunately, its not easy to pair Guri and an IG88 together due to the way the points work out. Not impossible, but basically, you are looking at a z-95 as your 3rd ship, or else, running just the two of them together (which means you have probably made them outrageously overly expensive...)

Here are some Guri builds that I can vouch as 'effective':

-lone wolf OR predator, virago, sensor jammer & autothrusters = 39 or 40 pts. This provides you with a fairly 'tanky' ship. Sensor Jammer and autothrusters help protect Guri from damage (as does lone wolf if you know how to use it) and her free focus at Range 1 ensures she can hit hard when in close.

- predator OR push the limit, virago, advanced sensors & autothrusters = 39. This build is harder to use because Guri can be a bit more squishy, but it opens up the s-loop as a less risky option thanks to advanced sensors and allows for some interesting movement options, especially in conjunction with push the limit. Remember that with advanced sensors, if you have a green move on your dial, you can take an action before revealing the dial, use push the limit to take a 2nd action, take a stress token, then reveal the green move and immediately clear the stress.

I have heard others try things like veteran instincts, crack shot, wired and what not, but ultimately, I don't believe they are as good as the above two.

Wingmates:

Guri goes well with 3 cartel marauders (khiraxz). If you take sensor jammer, Palob is a great wingman for her. I personally like to run her with a pair of Vigos (starviper generics) or twin laser thugs (y-wing generics).

Those do sound very promising for sure I will definitely try them out and I wouldn't mind trying Guri with a pair a Vigos cuz I definitely think the StarViper is a great unique ship you just have to learn how to pilot it to its maximum, and I didn't think it was possible to pair with an IG-88 I just seen that's a very popular ship for Scum and wondered how or if those two can be flown effectively together
