How to handle a starfighter Trench Run?

Hi there,

how would you handle the classic scenario of flying a starfighter through a canyon or bowels of a space station? Modifed Chase rules?

Stellar phenomena rules including at least 3 setback dice makes the Difficulty. So the chase rules using those rules in conjunction.

In addition to what 2P51 said, I'd do some other things as well.

For a trench run, if there are guns firing at the ship, I'd use a modified Blanket Barrage action, upgrading the Piloting check to fly down the trench.

I'd include a hazard every now and then that alters the Stellar Phenomena dice modifiers.

Put things in the scene that allow some more expanded options than, go really fast and shoot the guy in front of me.

In scenes like this where round to round events can be very similar, narration to what is changing becomes absolutely critical to keeping everyone involved and engaged.

Stay on Target has rules for space battles with large ships and structures as hazards.
