Tarkin + heavy bomber fleet

By Rogue Three, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

'Evening gents,

this is a list that i brewed up in occasion for the weekly game against my only opponent in the city (Turin, Italy). We have played 2 games with the wave 2 stuff, and i won both with the Rebels using different lists with the same Admiral (you've guessed it, Ackbar). Now it's my turn to use the might of the empire: I decided to with Tarkin for the wealth of tokens that he can give to my ships.

I'm pretty sure that he'll be using ackbar with either the conga line or a mix of cruisers and heavily armed (thanks to ackbar) corvettes, but not many squadrons: so i decided for a fleet without the magnificent Demolisher, preferring to engage and potentially eliminate the "hero" squadrons that he'll certainly use with the Raider and the Fighters, while Rhymer and his boys take the fight to the enemy, potentially winning me some victory tokens if "Superior Positons"/ Precision Strike are chosen as objectives.

CAPITAL SHIPS

  1. Imperial II Class Star Destroyer
  • Grand Moff Tarkin
  • Gunnery Team
  • Electronic Countermeasures
  • XI7 Turbolasers
  • Relentless
  1. Victory I Class Star Destroyer
  • XI7 Turbolasers
  1. Raider I Class Corvette
  • Ordnance Experts
  • Impetuous

SQUADRONS

  • Major Rhymer
  • TIE Bomber (x3)
  • Firespray
  • Tie Fighter (x3)

OBJECTIVES

  • Precision Strike
  • Hyperspace Assault
  • Superior Positions

Thoughts?

Could work but you need Intel . Dengar would be a good addition .drop hyperspace assault for contested outpost. If someone chooses that you would only have 2 ships on the table.

You might want to consider putting Tarkin on your VSD-1. It takes some value away from focusing down the ISD and the VSD will, likely, be a second wave and so will be a little safer from early fire.

You are probably right on Intel. Regarding contested outpost i'm a bit dubious, i'm pretty sure that my opponent will use up to "Command 3" ships, while i only have 2 plus a command 1, so that could be a bigger disadvantage. what about fleet ambush? Could that work against a potential conga line?

Good suggestions,i'll move tarkin on the VSD
