So I've been flying the above list with mixed success (mostly due to my piloting ability) and was wondering if anyone else had been playing similiar lists with greater success. Obviously the big weakness of the list is that it can be quite fragile if not flown correctly so any tips on preserving the squad would be much appreciated.

I've flown Jax, Strom and Omega Leader with Dark Curse a few times, and I know that someone else here has flown the same list, and even posted about it a few days before I did.

So far I'm 4-1 with it and have only lost to a RAC/Whisper list where RAC had gunner and Vader and all those crits just tore me apart. I tend to joust with Strom and Dark Curse, keep OL behind them and try to flank with Jax. If I can get Strom and Jax at range 1 at the second combat turn and get both of their abilities in play at the same time then the match is usually a win. The only good targets will be Dark Curse whom no one wants to shoot (just a lousy TIE Fighter) and Strom who's going to subtract a hit from every roll and basically be invincible thanks to Jax. Keeping OL at range 3 when everyone else is at range 1 (to make him a less-inviting target in the opening turns) is also handy for keeping him alive into the end game. Timing your approach is probably the most important/difficult part of flying the list otherwise you'll just lose ships to focused fire before their abilities have a chance to come into play.

Of course, my main worry isn't winning with the list but having friends to play with after they suffer its effects...

I have played the Jax/Strom/OL/DarkCurse list a few times, just to check it out. Did fairly well because all the "nope, can't do that"'s I was telling my opponent really got into his head. It's a fun list to be the one playing, but A: doubt its super competitive at the top levels, and B: not fun for your opponent. While the game does revolve around killing your enemy, completely squishing their fun gets you less friends and people to fly against...

Its a very trollish list. I quite like that!

I flew this list at a couple small tourneys and one Store Championship. I find it lacks some *PUNCH* since all of the abilities negate opponent damage but don't help you push through any of your own damage. Your best chance at sneaking a hit through is with OL's JUKE or Carnor Jax flanking at range 1 with Focus. Strom and DC act as Academy TIEs without Howlrunner Re-Rolls. Many of my losses I'd only lose 1 or 2 ships but would have only 1/2 damaged a large base ship or killed one small ship. I'm currently 8-4 with it in competitive games.

That being said... I really like the list! Love flying three 8's and a 6 for PS. You just need to fly it right.

Why don't you put Lt. Colzet to flip Wampa's damage cards up? It might work better than Strom.
