Mek-Nik rifles through a few of the tool drawers before closing them in disgust. Heading towards the closest of the ATSTs he says, "If things go south, I don't want to be chased through the trees by these things."
With a few grunts he climbs to the top of the scout vehicle and sits down on the hatch. After licking his thumb, he rubs it vigorously across the seam where the hatch sits in it's frame. After a moment, the duralloy begins to move like a thick putty. A few seconds later he stands up & begins to climb down, leaving behind a rough 4cm weld sealing the hatch closed.
After repeating the process with the other ATST, he grabs a pistol & holster off of one of the sentries stuffed under a tarp. Looking up he says, "Droo, I'm not sure a uniform missing the chest is going to fool anyone." Picking up the helmet Kavar put a round through, he held it up, "I know this isn't." Turning it around, he showed ragged hole where the back of the helmet used to be.
[using Mental Tools to weld the hatches closed.]
"Well, I don't think the Empire is employing Klatooinians so the best I could hope for by putting on a uniform is look silly," Barada quips back to Droo.
Edited by Kymrel"I'm not sure the helmet will fit over my montrals," says Fenris. "We'll probably have to continue as we are."
"Rrreeerrroooowwarr, yyyeeeeerrrrrgggg"
"Nice job Duros, that's a handy trick to have in the middle of the jungle!"
"Rrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaagagagagaga mmmmmoooooooorrrrrrrr yyyyaararowwww mmmmaahhhh"
"Let's move"
"Moving out," Barada replies in his deep baritone voice. "Want me to take the lead? I can scout ahead. No noise. See what we're up against before we walk into the middle of another patrol."
"Perfect"
Fenris falls in line, checking over his companions as he does so. "Apparently we got through that unscathed. Let's hope our luck continues...lead on!"
Barada nods and moves up. He walks with the barrel of his rifle pointing at the ground a few meters in front of him, but the weapon is held at the ready. He leads the group of Rebel raiders through the complex, signalling them when to move and when to stop.

Tush grunts at this, ignoring the sore shoulder that took a blaster bolt earlier, the adrenaline pumping keeps him focused on the task at hand.

"My apologies, my good Wookiee, I couldn't tell under all that fur. Let me have a quick peek."

"There, that should help..."
Edited by whafrogKavar keeps the rear of the group, keeping track of their path through the base while also mapping out as much of the base as he can. Should their way forward be compromised, he'd be ready to lead if they needed to fall back. This base...its far more expansive than I thought. How could that Moff keep all this hidden? Kavar had to shake his head to keep his curiosity from distracting him.
In the hopes of finding more mission-related to think of, Kavar whispered to the others nearby. "What's our plan for the shuttle? Sabotage it outright, or try to lock the Imperials out? It would be pretty useful to have around when we convert the base."
Mek-Nik stays to the middle of the group. "If you can get me into the shuttle, I can lock the imperials out without damaging the shuttle."
"An Imperial Shuttle, un-damaged and with potentially useable authorisations? That's the kind of thing the Rebellion could get a lot of use out of. Let's go with the plan of not damaging it."
The size of the base is also catching Tush a little off guard, the possibilities for its use are exciting. He does wonder who actually did the construction. A lot of people must have been involved, where are they now and what do they know?
"Let's keep moving guys" he is keeping an eye on the scout up ahead, being sure to not get too close.
The size of the base is already beyond Droos scope of mind mapping, but he's happy to leave that to the tactician types.
Dropping in just in front of Tush and Fenris, but far enough from Barada so as not to compromise his noiseless movements, he is not too dissimilar from an oversized guard dog. The clear up and Mek's security job on the walkers have settled him down a bit.
At least his paws haven't strayed to the hip flask since they got here.
You make your way through the base, until you fnd the shuttle bay but in front of it there are 2 guards...Darktrooper guards.
Barada scouts ahead and locates the two guards. Seeing the strange, black uniforms he reports back. "Trouble ahead. Two guards in front of what looks like the shuttle bay. They look very odd. Bigger than Storm Troopers and in black armor. I think we could get around using the air vents, but it could be a tight squeeze for you Wookiees. We could try to take them down, but I don't think we could do that without alerting the whole base about our presence here."
He looks at Tush. "I could also try out the vents alone, just to see if we can use them, before committing to using that way for the entire group. Your call."
Edited by KymrelTush silently signals for Barada to move into the vent system. Those odd troops will need dealing with at some point, but the shuttle is the Teams next objective.
Barada silently moves towards the opening of the air vent and with some difficulty climbs into the vent system. He crawls on through, looking for a way into the shuttle bay, or a grating where he can get a good look at the shuttle bay.
Climbing into the vents: 2eA+1eB+1eD 1 success, 1 threat

One threat. Perhaps a single strain, unless the GM has another use for the threat?
One threat. Perhaps a single strain, unless the GM has another use for the threat?
Belive me, I do.
Droo watches Barada slip into the venting system. He glances at Tush, then his gaze falls to his own torso. Nope. There was no denying it, the years were starting to take their toll on the Wookiee. He remembered having a body as lean and trim as Tushes, but that was a long time ago. In truth he had probably never been as lithe as Barada, and certainly wouldn't be again.
Feeling his now rounded midriff with some concern he tried to concentrate on the plan that Fenris and Tush were discussing. Hopefully it involved Droo being utilised on the ground, he didn't fear these new Imps, but the idea of being trapped in a venting shaft, to slowly die and turn to rot like some maggot ridden rat up a drain pipe...
Droo shuddered and returned his attention to the command team, they would know what to do best, he was sure.
Fenris eyes the vents dubiously. He'll fit, but he hopes there's no climbing involved. "I should do more pushups," he thinks to himself.
Tush quietly heads for the entrance to the vents, "One of you needs to stay on lookout at this end, the rest let's see if the shuttle has anything useful" he whispers just before climbing through the opening. Once inside he heads for the hanger, following Baradas directions, only stopping when the other end is in sight. Tush then waits quietly for Barada to signal the all clear.
"Mrrryarw!" (Me Sir!) growls Droo at the request of someone to keep watch here. A palpable sense of relief at the prospect of a solution to this problem that doesn't involve tight air vents.
Once you make sure there are no guards on the platform you Jump onto the landing pad and come out with your weapons drawn.. only to see that there is no shuttle but there is a door in the mountion face.
