So after the Demolisher executes his maneuver he can (first question) only do one attack or two. So (second question) If engine techs are then used does he get to attack again?
Demolisher
1: he can only attack once after moving
2: he cannot attack a 2nd after the engine techs move (he is limited to 1 attack out side of the attack step) he can however use his attack after the engine techs move if he wishes too
Allowed:
Attack - Attack - Move - Engine Techs
Attack - Move - Attack - Engine Techs
Attack - Move - Engine Techs - Attack
Only one attack is allowed after a Move. However, that can be the regular move, OR the Engine Techs.
And of course, "Attack" is simply "Attack Opportunity" - you can elect to NOT attack at that point and lose the opportunity (and the associated attack)

It's funny that at tournaments I now announce when im going to do an Attack-Move-Engine Tech- Attack or an Attack-Move-Attack-Engine techs with demo because I'm not sure enough people understand the True Power of the Dark Side...Demolisher ET

I find people consistently underestimate from exactly how far away and from what angles the Demolisher with Engine Techs can pounce on them. My very first tournament I pounced on an Assault Frigate turn 1 and then blew it up top of turn 2 (with a double arc), sailing away without the poor Frigate ever firing a shot. Just vicious.
Behold the rules-bending power of the Demolisher!

Demolisher is save wave one, it's got nothing on the Instigator for rules problems .*
*Counterpoint: at least the Demolisher rules questions are applicable to actual games - people actually USE the Demolisher. Zing!
yeah no kidding. If FFG wanted to make the raider an anti-squadron platform they would have given it a pair of red AS dice...

Pfft, if you're anything like me, you'd only roll ACC-BLANK anyway...
... And then try to use Screed to turn it to a Crit and still do nothing because its Anti-Squadron Fire.

I meant the title specifically. I never see Instigator. It's just too weird to get it to work without dooming the Raider. Generic Raiders and the Impetuous, sure. The Instigator, no.
So wait, it's a bad idea to throw a 4 hull ship with no redirects into the middle of a Rhymer ball and scream "YOU CANNOT ADVANCE! TARGET ME!!!!!"
And Demolisher isn't quite as obscene as a forward-deployed Rhymerball. "Oh, you tiptoed out of your deployment zone? Guess I can shoot you turn one now. . ."

But it's still obscene.
Rhymer is just obscener.

I see some newer players trying to run it with Quad Laser Turrets and I'm like... "please don't. It will only make you sad."
It's like running at a polar bear after supergluing nails to your skin. That polar bear is going to absolutely kill and then eat you, you're just making the experience less pleasurable.
